That's funny, I could have sworn I deleted it several months ago...

Not much more I can do is pull out the full header and send it on to paypal! ;)

ETA:This is the first time I've seen it, so the excitement hasn't worn off!

I get about five of those e-mails EVERY DAY! It's ridiculous! I don't understand how anyone could actually fall for that scam, but I know people do ...

I've been getting a lot of suspicious stuff from someone claiming to be E-bay. I ought to start forwarding that to them.

Ive never had a PayPal account and they keep threatening to cancel me. Go figure. Its a spam and scam. I get emails like that everyday. I just delete them.

Funny, isn't it. I get them to several accounts from both Paypal and Ebay supposedly. I think these things are why Ebay put its own internal message system. When you log into your Ebay you get offical messages through it now.

I love those emails......what is particularly funny is when the send the info that they are cancelling my paypal account, they are sending it to the WRONG email address. My paypal address is completely different than anything else I have..... LOL LOL

:D I love it when they even call you by a different name in the email as well. I almost feel cheated. :lol

The e-mail I got was telling me that there was unusual activity on my account and to click this link (that they so thoughtfully provided) and make sure that everything was OK.

You never click links in e-mails that are supposed to be from banks or paypal or any financial institution.

And when I ran my cursor over the link the address that popped up had nothing to do with paypal. Nasty. And it looked entirely legitimate.

No. They didn't get access to my account, and yes I did report them to Paypal.

I actually had a refund put in that I thought someone was trying to use my account... so whatever the stuff you get....do not ever verify it with your bank or visa number...if someoone wants to stick money in my account..welcome......At least I have a credit...yah. making magic money... :D

i love it when you get an email asking you to verify your account details for a bank you dont have an account with.Har har its hilarious!
But my all time favourite is the 'dearest companion' emails from some orphan in Mozambique who's late uncle has left him $6 000 000 and he needs an account to put it in ,and are you an honest enough person to take the money in your account until he can transfer it to his!!??!!

I always forward these to PayPal and eBay. It's easy to do; just forward the entire e-mail to spoof@PayPal.com or spoof@eBay.com. The poor people there must just wait for my e-mails every day. Like I said, I get like four or five each day. They can always tell when I check my e-mail! :lol

Just for the heck of it, I open the e-mails occasionally when I'm forwarding. (I NEVER click on the links, though!) The grammar in these things is HORRIBLE!!! You'd think these people would be smart enough to use a spell-check  ...

You mean to tell me that Umbutu from Mozambique doesn't really have an uncle who left him $6,000,000?! And I was all set to use my share (cuz they always offer you a share) to finance a month long drunken stripper binge in L.A. There go my summer plans.
