I know it's been awhile since I've posted, but I've had a lot going on. My wife got mobilized by the Army, my father passed, I took a new job with my hometown sheriff's office on the outer banks in order to help my mom, so that required moving (an endeavor I have always been against) and my son is starting high school. My wife has not gotten a job yet, but she has gotten pregnant! The new Scaper is due on Jan. 10, 2006! We are very excited. Apparantly, within the first month of her returning home, she became pregnant. I guess we missed each other.
So even with the sorrow we all felt at the passing of my father, who was a great man, we will have a new baby. My father will be missed very much.
We're also building a house. So lots new in my life.

Thank you you all for your condolences and congratulations. I was very fortunate to have the father I did. He supported me in everything I did.
kymom5613 congratulations and I hope you have an easy birth. I hear childbirth can be a bit painful. I wouldn't know firsthand but I can tell you this, if men had to have babies, there wouldn't be any. At least, I wouldn't have any. My son was over 8 pounds and that seems like a lot of weight to pass through your system. Dieties Bless Women!
On the 31st, my wife and I will find out the sex of the baby.

Just another OBX scaper checking in. I am from Manteo and work for Dare Co EMS. Hopefully we'll meet at the next Farscape night at the Junkanoo. Good luck with all the life changes.
