Wonder if my parents are afraid of vampires or what but I just checked our fridge and it's stuffed with different kind of garlic.Tuna with garlic, sausage with garlic, garlic in honey and herb sauce, salad sauce with garlic, raw garlic...Think I better go to the shop and buy me some food...

Garlic won't keep me away from dinner. I won't admit to being a vampire.

But I am part of the old school which believes in being invited into your home before I can enter it. ;)

Maybe there was a garlic fair in town. There's all kinds of fairs in here especially at the summertime. And belive it or not, there is a garlic fair once a year. That's when my parents come home with all kinds of garlic stuff. My mom's absolutely crazy for the stuff.

Garlic, along with lemons, limes and coffee, is one of the things that make life civilized. It may or may not keep the vampires away, but some people say it keeps all kinds of germs away. And you sure can't make pesto without it. Yum.

Garlic is good, but too much is too much.

I would marry garlic. I made garlic soup when I was sick. We used to but peeled cloves in olive oil and broil (?) it in the oven till it was soft. People spread it on bread. That's the ONLY way I won't consume garlic, but it was a good story. ;)

Oh goodness, dear. I kinda fly by the seat of my pants when i cook. I was with the flu and i wanted something warm and garlicy. I am sure I sauteed (lightly) a ton of cloves, coarsely chopped and added some chicken broth/boullion. Not much else, lol. I do darn near the same thing when i make french onion, but it's sauteed garlic and onion in beef broth/boullion.

When I start to come down with ANY illness, I start eating a clove of raw garlick before bed. I tend to get better REAL fast in self defense.

Does anyone know about the garlic treatment for yeast infections? :D

Garlic, mmmm, it is the time of year for eating garlic, winter cold season.
there are many theories on exactly why garlic can help prevent colds,

Indeed, Garlic is known for its Holistic healing properties. Perhaps your parents (Milaya) have just recently been exposed to this idea?

I used to grow garlic in my garden. It was delicious and unbelievably sweet. Then we had the house painted and the old lead-based paint chips fell into the dirt. Couldn't eat the garlic any more. :cry2:
