Anyone notice the DVDs are incredibly hard to get out of the case without snapping them in half?

It takes me two hands to get them out and I end up putting lovely finger prints on the edge of one of the discs.

I hate when companies cheap out on the actual box. I think I'm going to shrink the little clips with my dremmel later. Too bad I've never seen a box this size before, otherwise I'd just replace it like I do other DVDs with bad cases...

I got Season 1, 2 from ADV during their holiday sale, and might I say - I'm not impressed. The DVD boxes themselves look like they've been exposed to extreme heat... the plastic is all warped and mishapen. I'll be able to replace these easily, so I'll get over that.

The one thing they really burns my ass is that 2 discs were loose while shipping and got scratched all to hell. I was able to buff the scratches out fine and the discs *seem* to work so far, but I haven't watched them through yet.

It suffices to say, I'm very unimpressed and I really hope I don't need to get any replacement discs.

I went to meet a fellow Scaper - PeteeKeeper - at bEst Buy - since we were both running errands all morning - He had found Ben Browder's "A Killer Within" for me last week and wanted to give it to me...
We both went in to do a bit of shopping...
I've been collecting the Starburst series also (but I bought the original dvd's as they were released).
The had ONE copy of 2.2, 3.1 and PKWars...
I didn't have 3.1 - and when I picked it up - I could hear the dvd's banging around on the inside of the case...
I asked if they had any more - they said no...
I asked if we could open it to see if the dvd's were damaged - they said to do that - I would have to buy it...
The guy was nice and told me to go to the return's desk - bbuy it there and open it right away...
I did - and the first 2 discs were loose and all scratched up from bouncing around - so they gave me my money right back...

So I guess I found it strange to hear people saying they were having a hard time getting the DVD's out - and then hearing of some that are loose and scratched....
ADV might want to know about this...

I've had problems with two different Starburst collections. One was the first disc on 2.2 and the other was the second disc on 1.1 . I got replacements at Best Buy and they're both fine. It is hard getting them out of the cases, I keep thinking they're going to shatter in my hand followed by a trip to the emergency room minus a few fingers and a couple of episodes.

I got mine today, first impression was the insert "oh hell here we go again".
The only dvds I own that are similar to this is the Muppet Show, cept the MS is a digipack.
But I am grateful that the discs work (no freezing), that I don't have to be extra careful with dual sides discs. And that owning the series is only going to take $230 dollars to buy instead of $400+.
