Cocky rap star Kanye West is calling for a revised edition of The Bible, because he thinks he should be a character in it.
The JESUS WALKS hitmaker, who picked up three Grammy Awards last night, feels sure he'd be "a griot" (West African storyteller) in a modern Bible.
He says, "I bring up historical subjects in a way that makes kids want to learn about them. I'm an inspirational speaker.
"I changed the sound of music more than one time... For all those reasons, I'd be a part of the Bible. I'm definitely in the history books already."

Makes me wish for the days of NWA and Tupac, back when rap meant something, and didn't suck.
As far as the Bible goes, its not my religon, so I don't care.

Kanye West is the rapper that made a name for himself in the rap world, and said "Bush hates black people" during the Katrina Relief fundraiser

I think that my thoughts on this topic can be adequately summed up in a single word:
meh

Kanye West claims to be this person who believe in God and wants to represent him. He is also the guy, who in the Rolling Stone interview said he was addicted to pornography.
hmmm.......interesting
makes me want to believe all the things he says even more!

i like meh. it is a very versatile word. and somehow i always picture a sheep saying it... not some wussy sheep, but some rough n'tumble highland scottish sheep, or something. :lol
and that's my random contribution for the day. i've had three mochas and am taking a walk on the silly side. :groove:
what this thread needs is a meh-sheep smiley...

"George Bush hates black people"
I've never laughed so hard in my life.... except when I heard "I'm Rick James, bitch" for the first time.
And I love how Mike Myers tried to get on with the show, but Kanye just kept on going.
Apart from that, his music ain't half bad. It's not like they used to make it, but what is?

Too bad this isn't the mid 90's. If it was, Kanye would be getting his ass kicked by Shug Knight and Dr. Dre.

Because, after all, you want your "I should be in the Bible" butt kicked by a man who's already broken a few of the Commandments

I"m gonna just go with "meh" and grab a bean bag chair (there are bean bag chairs, right?) and request a crown and 7 -- on the rocks.

You mean back when they could make music to boast about rather than making music that boasts that they once made music to boast about? :)
