And they are BUGGING ME!
I live in Central Florida in an apartment surrounded by wetlands - like, literally a swamp. I've been here almost two years, and this hasn't happened before. But last night I get home after like, the LONGEST WEEK EVER and the bed is covered in wings. Yeah, I know super-gross. So I spent all evening vacuuming and changing sheets and being generally upset.
I slept well, but they are diurnal, so about noon, there they were again. Luckily the head maintenance guy went by and I told him. He said they'd spray Monday, but I think it's a bigger problem than that. I went to Home Depot and bought some foam, but there are still a few.
Anyway, just gettng that off my chest. I've got a stress headache. :(

I had that problem with pillbugs. OMG they were everywhere. I told the landlord about it and he really didnt do much but put in a dehumidifier. Whoooppeee.... With the pill bugs came the spiders that ate them. OMG it was insane. I couldnt sleep in my bed because thats where they were all the time. I had to wear shoes so that I didnt step on them. So what I did was, I sucked them up in a dustbuster and put them in a jar and off to court we went. The judge had someone look at the apartment and they took pictures of them all over the place. So I was awarded all my rent that I paid and my security deposit back. I found a really nice apartment somewhere else that was a second floor. :D
Termites will never go away. And if they are THAT bad, then you will be living with them a long time.
Best of luck for you.
But the next time they cover your bed and stuff, take alot of clear pictures in case you need them later.

You know, I never thought about the pictures. I've been reading up on it, and they come out right at this time of year here in FL. I've been in this apt. since 7/04, and this is the first time I've had this problem. Guh, I am just so frustrated! I don't want to move ever again until I can afford a house, and that may be another half a year. :(

When I moved to this flat I was really looking forward to being able to sleep in the nude and not worry that my mum would be sending up any of my friends to wake me up in the morning, like she did.
So the first really hot night I had the windows wide open and a sheet that got kicked off sometime during the night, only to wake up in the morning to find a heap of mosquito bites all over my poor body. Thats when I found out I live next to the biggest range of stagnant water in west london.

Oh no! LOL Poor dear. Well here I am, up. It's funny - it's not the creatures that come out in the night - in this case they come out during the day! I'm just afraid of what I'll wake up to! I think I'll lay over on the couch for a bit. Tomorrow I'm going to have to tear apart the bed and spray the box spring, cause ew.

No, I shouldn't. And I've had an extremely bad work week, so it didn't help. I ended up sleeping on couch last night, just in case.
This morning I left the house around 10.30 then came back at 2, and no bugs! I sprayed before I left, of course, and today's been overcast and cool. Those things probably both helped. *sigh* Thanks for the huggles, I needed them!

Hopefully the problem will get better soon. I've never had termites, but I've heard they can cause a lot of damage when there's enough of them.
