I just checked the WGN Superstation schedule, and it looks like they've moved the S2 eps to 4:30 Sunday mornings and S3 eps to 4:00 Monday mornings, at least through March 20, 2006. :irked:

ETA: I think that's Eastern time.

This is a very, very bad sign. Please email them asap to very politely express our objection to the time-change, lest it be permanent:

Reminds me of what Sat.1 (in Germany) did with Farscape.
Shortly after that it vanished.

I've sent an email asking if it's a permanent move... I suggest that anybody else that's interested do the same...

Email sent. Does anyone know how it's been doing in the ratings? Is there some public website where you can look at the ratings for different shows?

the ratings for farscape in syndication are being reported by both Digger and cosmictheorist in the "In the News" forum here... you can also see them on the front page.

Should we start a new thread in "I have a plan"?

Uhmm...
I totally don't mean to be dense, but what were the WGN broadcast times? Baseball is in Spring Training right now, with the regular season starting around the start of April. Being that WGN is the broadcast home of the Cubs, they are going to have to clear a spot on their schedule for the games they air. Games played on the weekend, typically, fall into the afternoon hours as opposed to evening...which I bet interferes with Farscape.

The Cubs baseball schedule indicates a total of 30 Saturday, or Sunday, afternoons in which there are baseball games to be broadcast. Each usually lasting around three hours.

the showings for Farscape in New York City are totally screwed up. they're doing S2 now at 1am Sunday mornings on Fox Ch. 5. UPN Ch. 9 does not seem to be showing the S3 any more.

I think they were doing Farscape at 1 AM (conveniently after Sat Night Live) before they changed it to earlier in the day, so this change back is not a totally new thing. (This is in NYC, on Fox 5.) It was on tonight (Sat night) at 1 am on Fox. TV Guide says the next Farscape will be at midnight March 20. Is that Monday night? That IS confusing. But it doesn't show up in the grid. Sunday, when Farscape was on ch 9 before Veronica Mars, seems to be a movie this week, competing with Fox's Nascar cup race. Sports sports sports taking over the world....

it was a movie last Sunday, too! that's 2 weeks in a row without a Sunday Farscape in NYC. i don't mind the 1am thing if they stick to it.

basically, the stations just don't care. i hate them all.

"We" have a problem up here in the "Northland". Although it IS getting closer to spring, and warmer temperatures, it has been very comforting to snuggle up in warm jammies, and watch Farscape on Saturdays at 11pm.

I guess that's all changed now.

Last night...NO FARSCAPE!!!! Just re-runs of SG1. ARRRRGH!!!!!

The only chance we have of watchin' Farscape now, is a 3am showing on WGN. That is, IF you recieve cable. (If you are still stuck with normal broadcast,...you are out of luck.)

I can't seem to find out what's happening up here. Anyone have any insights?

Dan

But 4am? We can surely ask for a better timeslot than that?

Have you tried contacting the station?

Hi Goner

Gee some people live in countries that didn't even broadcast the 4th season of Farscape, or even show the miniseries. They had to either pay to buy the DVD box sets, or pay $400 a year to get cable TV to be able to watch them before the box sets became available..........

Mark

Who thankfully only paid $40 a season for Farscape DVDs :-)

and some people had to walk 5 miles uphill in the snow to get to school.

Goner's allowed to be nutted about this and ask people for help. don't give him grief for it.

OOoh waltersgirl

You had snow?, you lucky bugger, we would have killed for snow. We had to walk thirty miles through the outback on days so hot that the crows had to fly backwards to keep the dust out of their eyes......
We would have killed for even the frost you get in the big fridges in the frozen food section of the supermarket, to cool our soft drinks that were so hot that they would dissolve the glasses we put them in.....

Mark

Wondering how far we can take this new idea.......

not at all. they're free to keep discussing the issue of the syndication changes, how much they dislike it and what they want to do about it.

I made contact with WGN yesterday.

Here is the reply I recieved from WGN TV

"Daniel:

It's being rescheduled to late Saturdays (early Sundays) at 3:30 a.m.
CT for
the next few weeks due to sports and last weekend's "24" marathon.
Unfortunately, it hasn't been attracting as many viewers as we would
have
liked since we began carrying it last October.

Thanks for writing.

George"

The other "local" stations (Minneapolis area) have not responded to my emails/voice mails.
