I've started Season 3! :joy:

I'll start with the new theme: LOVED IT! I find myself humming this one a lot. Fits in perfectly with John's new monologue and, as I mentioned in the thread about the new theme, fits perfectly with the faster-pace and higher-stakes the series has taken on.

I also love the new title and credit designs.

"Season of Death":

Love it where John beats the frell out of Harvey, ending up with Harvey in the dumpster! :lol

The scene where Zhaan joins with Aeryn--definately one that commands silence as well as a tear or two for the knowledge of what this will cost Zhaan.

"Suns and Lovers":

Pilot laughs! :lol :bgb: That WAS rather haunting...

I also understand now where this Forum gets its name...

"Self-Inflicted Wounds":

At the end of "Part 1" where John talks to Harvey and threatens to throw him in the dumpster again... Having the dumpster roar was a wonderful touch. :lol

Love te character of Jules. I look forward to seeing more of her interactions with the crew.

And, of course, Zhaan's death... By Faranth, was that tear provoking... Beautifully handled by, not just Virgenia, but by everyone else who's been there since Season 1.

I also loved the moment at the end between Pilot and Rygel. That, too, brought a few tears.

That's all for now...until I get the next two DVD disks. :)

"Suns and Lovers":
One more thing--it was nice to see One-Eye again. ;)

"Different Destinations":
Love the Toy Story reference with Harvey wearing Woody's boots.

"Eat Me":
Nice to finally get to see another full-grown Leviathan.

"Losing Time":
I love this episode! My favorite one of the season so far. My favorite parts are the interactions between John and Moya through the DRD. :D

"Relativity":

Interesting. This episode marks the third, possibly fourth, time the audience was shown Rygel having died--previous being "Throne for a Loss", possibly "Back to the Future" with John's one premonition that had Moya being destroyed, and "A Human Reaction".

"Infinite Possibilities":

Love the return of Furlow and "Jack", though I sort of liked the Ancient as he appeared in "A Human Reaction". I don't know why. Anyway... Yeah, I love how FarScape returns to a lot of the characters and plots that, when the previous episodes first aired, appeared to be nothing more than a filler--though, I sort of felt they would return to Furlow.

I loved the ending to "Part 1". For a moment, I honestly believed Harvey had taken control of John. Aeryn's tear really got me going.

The ending of "Part 2" really brought the tears, too. With Crais commending John--the person he once hated more than anyone else in the Universe--for what he did. As moving as B5's Londo and G'Kar in the end of that series...

And, of course, the last moment between Aeryn and John... :cry2:

"Revenging Angel"

FarScape in cartoon! :roflmao:

Wow! Isn't this a complete change of moods... Where "Infinte Possibilities" left you in tears of grief, this one leaves you in tears of laughter!

It took a moment to get used to see FarSape cartoonized, but so did the animated Star Trek. And, of course, silliness IS a trademark of FarScape. ;)

Once I got used to it, I really enjoyed it. It sort of had a feel of those old coyote/roadrunner cartoons with animated D'Argo constantly scheming to get animated John and animated John constantly escaping D'Argo's schemes!

And the cameo appearence by Star Trek's USS Enterprise!   That was the best!

Frell! I laugh at it even now! :roflmao:

Oh deary me - somebody who hasn't seen the ending of season 3 yet.

Enjoy... *begins sinister laugh*

By the way, even though it seems like the Farscape Holiday Special, I'd have to say that Scratch 'n Sniff is one of my favourite episodes of season 3, yet you haven't mentioned it.

Also, hope you don't have long to wait before the end of season 3 and the beginning of season 4. The agony would kill you.

Yeah. I meant to put my review of "Scratch 'n Sniff" in the thread dedicated to that episode, but I hadn't gotten around to it yet.

I guess I'll put it here:

"Scratch-'n'-Sniff":

With this episode, FarScape certainly lives up to its reputation for being silly--which is the third, fourth, or fifth reason for loving this show. I especially love the ending where John asks D'Argo if he'd like a go at telling Pilot the story and D'Argo decides not to after Pilot growls! And hearing John and D'Argo argue their way out of Pilot's Den and as Moya flies off was wonderful! I don't blame Pilot for being annoyed at the constant bickering between those two--I'd be annoyed, too!

"Incubator" was good. It was nice to learn about Scorpius' past.

"Meltdown" was great, too. It was really fun to watch the mist-influenced John and Aeryn.

I also love how the episodes alternate between Moya and Talyn from "Thanks For Sharing" through "Fractures". That was superbly done.

Finished Season 3!!!! :joy: :joy: :joy:

Frell! Those last four episodes were AMAZING!!! :eek4:

"I - Yensch, You - Yensch"

I love Talyn's side of the story and how Moya is shown expressing her grief over the situation my shuddering.

"Into the Lion's Den"

My top favorite two of the four--especially "Part 2". My favorite parts were the moment between John and Pilot when John goes over to Moya to get his module, Talyn's and Crais' heroic end, and the destruction of the Command Carrier--especially the moment where we see Scorpius in his quarters as the water rushing down (the music there was PERFECT! ) and where John and Scorpy face each other off in the launch bay with the ship comming down around them... And, of course, where we cut to Pilot and Moya watching... Poor Moya... Having to watch her son die, effectively for the second time. :(

"Dog With Two Bones"

I really love the Leviathan part of the story. This episode really gives a chance for Moya to shine and take center stage with the other characters. And Rygel's eulogy for Talyn was enough to really brings the tears. :bawl:

And D'Argo's ship--is that thing frelling powerful or what???!!! :boom: Of course, it WAS going up against an unsheilded Leviathan and not something like a Command Carrier...

John leaving Moya in his module was nicely done with D'Argo, Chiana, Rygel, and then Aeryn in the Prowler saying their farewells in voice-overs. The only thing I was disappointed about was that Pilot wasn't included in that... :irked: Oh well, one can't have everything... At least there was that one deleted scene with Pilot on Earth--now THAT was funny! :rollin: . "The health coverage is better here," when he tells John that he was, in Earth terms, fired from his previous job.

And then, Moya gets sucked into a wormhole, leaving John hanging in space all alone...

And, it's on to Season 4! ;) Seems the end is fast approaching...
