Screen Ratio

Just something I've been wondering about, anyone have any idea why the starburst editions have a 4:3 screen ratio, while the original dvd release had a 16:9 ratio, especially since widescreen TVs are becoming more and more popular these days

Seasons 1-3 were filmed in 4:3 format. Only season 4 is widescreen.

Seasons 1-3 were shot in 4:3 (full screen) aspect ratio. They didn't begin filming in 16:9 (widescreen) until Season 4.

ALL season 1-3 DVDs (every region, original or starburst) were 4:3 aspect ratio. ALL Season 4 and Peacekeeper Wars DVDs (every region) were 16:9 aspect ratio.
