Ok. It was mentioned that Pulse fire does not pierce thier hide. However, I was watching Bad Timing and etc. I am curious, would bullets made from human guns pierce them? Pulse Pistol/Rifle/Canons seem to have energy dispelled instead of metallic bullets. Just a random thought.

They may do but if pluse fire does not hit them then bullets wont do alot of good either.

You empty a clip of armour piercing rounds into a scarren and I can promise you, the scally hide s.o.b. is going down!

AFAIK, Nhoj has the right idea - and the Farscape RPG book backs it up as well. Scarrans are heavily resistant (note resistant, not immune) to pulse fire - but no mention is ever made about bullets, or just hitting them with anything either if you're mad enough to try. This plays a critical part in the latter chapters of Harrigan's Heroes, since none of my guys there use pulse guns of any kind.

Scarrans are, however, very tough - they will take more punishment than a human before going down. But they'll go down a bit quicker if you use bullets.

I think their resistance to pulse fire is due to their own adaption of the heat gland, it's not so much pulse fire they are resistant too but the heat. Energy weapons just aren't as effective against a Scarrens heat resistant hide. However a nice armour piercing round will slice through them as easily as it penitrates anything else. Empty a clip and you have a scally hide full of holes!

Well, Skarrans aren't just resistant to heat-based pulse fire, they're also resistant to being stabbed. When D'argo tried to stab the Season of Death skarran the (metal) blade broke

If you're referring to the one he stabbed outside in the snow, D'argo tried to stab with an icicle - which shattered. Scarrans are vulnerable to cold, but are still extremely tough - it took the stab and sustained pulse fire from the qualta Aern had to down him, and even then it took a while to do it.
