1. HER DIARY

Tonight I thought he was acting weird.

We had made plans to meet at a bar to have a drink. I was shopping with my friends all day long, so I thought he was upset at the fact that I was a bit late, but he made no comment. Conversation wasn't flowing so I suggested that we go somewhere quiet so we could talk. He agreed but he kept quiet and absent. I asked him what was wrong; he said nothing. I asked him if it was my fault that he was upset. He said it had nothing to do with me and not to worry.

On the way home I told him that I loved him, he simply smiled and kept driving. I can't explain his behavior. I don't know why he didn't say I love you too. When we got home I felt as if I had lost him, as if he wanted nothing to do with me anymore. He just sat there and watched T.V. He seemed distant and absent.

Finally, I decided to go to bed. About 10 minutes later he came to bed, and to my surprise he responded to my caress and we made love, but I still felt that he was distracted and his thoughts were somewhere else.

He fell asleep - I cried. I don't know what to do. I'm almost sure that his thoughts are with someone else. My life is a disaster.

2. HIS DIARY

I shot the worst round of golf in my life today, but at least I got laid.

And herein lies the problem :lol

EXACTLY. If he had just said, "I shot a lousy game of golf..." He was upset. She could tell. He said nothing. She speculates. Duh! *sigh*

Still... the story is funny.

no... really when we talk enough, women get angry about it... it's marginally safer to say nothing :D

... ;) sometimes it's just what you say... :rollin:Yes, that is the exactly problem with talking. Many guys just let the words - ANY words - tumble out of their mouths like popcorn.

Many ladies'll pick apart every single word, every intonation, every eye twitch - and after they're done fleshing out every possible permutation, all association, hidden communication . . .

:tonbricks

Okay, if a guy risks finding himself saying "But Honey, I didn't really mean it in that way!!" Then it's better if he doesn't say anything at all.

Well, women donīt say what they think ... thatīs a problem in communication between ladies and guys.

We, as man, say what we mean and do what we say.

BTW, thatīs also the reason why we can drive better cars and have a better orientation - we live in the reality. ;)

("When we switch the indicator light to the left, ... we drive to the left..." (Easy and logical). What will happen if a girl want to turn left ... maybe an accident "in communication". ;) )

Uh oh... not all women. But now I understand the guys that just don't want to accept a "no" from me. I for my part want to be taken seriously.

Jepp.

We even donīt no what you really mean, if you say "no" or "yes".

Sometimes (most?) girls mean exactly the opposite - but who of you did it always, ... sometimes, ... never - and when !??

And now you have learned what Rockne S. OīBannon and David Kemper really meant with "The Uncharted Territories".

Mistery in this and that part of the universe. Remember they are guys. ;)

"Hey, I want to have a starburst sometimes..."

heh, always assume she means what she says, and then seek clarification. Respect first, because that part has to come from you... ;)

Uh oh... not all women.

Gonna second that. I mean and do what I say just as much as it's been asserted that every man does the exact same thing. That hasn't been my experience either.

Guess when it comes down to it you can't say any group as a whole does anything. Get to know a person for who he/she is and how he/she communicates, and that'sll be one step towards stopping miscommunication.

BTW - I totally agree with you. :D

:lol

I would just add that women talk entirely too much. Sometimes, we don't talk because you don't let us!

ie the 45 minute conversation that occurs when you ask a woman how her weekend went.

Or the road trip with your girlfriend. Went from Huntsville to Dallas and my girl was not quiet for four straight hours! The only break I got was when she fell asleep at the wheel. I drove after that.

I made the same drive with my bro, and the only words we had were: "What CD are you putting in?" "Pantera" "Pantera rules!"

Though, I do find quiet and shy women very interesting.

I have guy tendencies. I don't talk, and the guys do...ALL the time. Wait, thats because some of the people in my social circle are full of themselves. :X
