Hi! My name is Shadow, but my foster mom calls me Mr. Snausage. I love hugs and loves and trying to keep up with all the little whippersnappers.

Shadow was turned over to the Italian Greyhound Club of America Rescue of Colorado in terrible condition. He was grossly obese and had the worst teeth his foster mom had ever seen. After several dentals, it was hoped that they would be able to save some of his teeth. Unfortunately, due to the neglect by his previous owner, he has to have his last two lower teeth removed. The rescue cannot afford his surgery (they were quoted upwards of $2000 to have those two teeth removed). The good news is, besides his mouth, he's otherwise healthy with potentially another 50 doggy years ahead of him. And as soon as he's healthy enough to be adopted out, I'm putting up the fee myself to bring him into a happy home.
We've been hustling to find alternative funding, not just in Colorado, but out-of-state as well. I'm coming here because over the years I've seen the kind, caring persons who frequent this board move mountains to help others in need. Whether you just skip your morning espresso or scrounge change under your car seats, every little bit will help give Shadow a new home and a happy life.
