June 2, 2006 - Rockstar Games set out to create a "killer app" with Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories. To do this, the company needed to make something truly unique, something the PSP just didn't have in its fledgling library. The company found its answer deep in Liberty City, the setting of the first true 3D GTA game, Grand Theft Auto III. Rockstar would take a complex urban landscape and shrink it to portable form.
I cannot wait for this game the GTA games are always awesome...it'll probably be the last GTA for the PS2 since Grand Theft Auto IV is coming out for the PlayStation 3 (my copy is already pre-ordered :D )
Here's a couple of screens of Liberty City...looks mighty cool.

Here's hoping they actually have a Mustang Fastback in this one.

Yes, bloody tossers.
The PS3 will cost NOK 6,000,- in Norway. I can get a three week holiday on Malta for that.

Screw the PS3. GTA 4 is coming out for the XBOX 360....so why even bother with spending $600 USD on it? I'll let you guys in on a little Microsoft secret. If you haven't already gotten into the next-gen circle yet.....when the PS3 is launched, Microsoft is said to strategically plan a price break for the 360 at the same time. So screw Sony....Do you really wanna pay an extra $2-300 dollars for a Blueray player? Microsoft will be selling a HD DVD player attachment, so all you need is in Bill Gate's corner.
As you can tell, I'm a proud 360 owner.

the only negative thing about the 360 is that it's Microsoft.
.... won't be getting one of those either.
... then what about Wii? I haven't decided yet. It still has to prove that the controller works.

At E3, they did tons of showing of people working with the controller of the Wii and those people said it was very responsive, and they are the industry experts. There is also a controller being released that is shaped like the old SNES controller but has 2 analog sticks as well as the D-pad, AB/XY buttons and bumpers on the top. It will most likely be sold outside of the Wii console.
I'm kindof a Microsoft homer though, I had the 1st generation XBox and now the 360. I've been pleasantly surprised with the released games so far, and Gears of War will be the game of the year when it's released in October. Not to mention Halo 3 and FEAR (not really a port of the game, but extra material too) being released next year.

I was actually shocked at the price of the PS3 not because I thought is was too high, but I thought it was going to be way more. I was thinking it would be very close to a grand...so I'm quite pleased with the price.
So far, everything I've seen on the 360 I think the regular Xbox can do with the exception of maybe Oblivion...it's a real shame that Micorsoft has already pulled the plug on Xbox becuase I thought it was just getting to show what the system can really do, but that's Microsoft for ya. I will probably get a 360 in the future but for right now I don't want one knowing that in about four years or so they'll pull the plug on it as well.
There's one thing about Sony, they really support their systems...hell, they just stopped supporting the PSOne just a few months ago, and the PS2 has at least another five years of life left in her.
On another note: If you want a Blu-ray player it's going to cost you 999 bucks, so I think the price of the PS3 is well worth it, plus Sony is always looking towards the future...PS3 will outlast all the next gen systems. I have faith in Sony, they didn't let me down with the PSOne or the PS2 and I know they won't with the PS3 either.
Plus the PS3 is getting more of the games that I like...gots to have my Japanese RPG's:D

I've been a long time Sony supporter, so I'd get a PS3....when the price drops down a few hundred dollars. I can't spend 600 on a unit, then extra hundreds on games!
