Just watched LATP - great trilogy. It looked like a lot of it was filmed in the Chinese Gardens in Darling Harbour. Anyone know if that's correct?

No.
Mark Two will be able to tell you the exact name of the place it was filmed. He took me there to show me in march, amongst the many other filming locations.

I think I remember someone referring to the Chinese Gardens in one of the commentaries or an interview. My guess would be that at least *part* of the on-location filming *was* done there.

No, the Chinese gardens are there - you have to pay to go in, though.

Hi Carly
Look at the Princess was filmed at the Auburn Chinese Gardens, the price of admission is $2. They also have a small zoo, so you can take a few photographs of some wallabies, and emu's too.
If you like I can send you some piccy's.

Thanks Mark - I'm close enough to Auburn to visit, and it's school holidays now - might take my nephew and niece over there one day.
Later - just went and visited there today - it's a beautiful place, and the kids loved it - really accessible. Now I'm going to have to rewatch LATP - what a pity!
