Stark came back to return the transport pod he borrowed after "A Hidden Memory" in Season One.

Kinda funny when you think of it - Scorpy and all his resources can't find Moya and the gang, and Stark with his transport pod finds them when he wants to return a borrowed item.

Stark is... a complicated character.

are transport pods from Leviathans inclined to find their home base i.e. a transport pod from Moya can find her again easier than something that was created by Moya.

I was wonderingt his because you mention stark being able to find Moya, and thats not the first time someone leaves in a transport pod and finds Moya again with little problems

I think what you are asking is: Can a transport pod that is an bio-mechanoid device 'grown' by Moya have some kind of instinctive homing device that lets it 'find' Moya easily.

It is possible. I just don't think there is anything in the show, either in the dialogue or other means, that supports that interpretation. On the other there is nothing that contradicts it... so it could be possible.

When was the other time? I am wracking my brains trying to remember and I can't think of another time.

I believe it happens in season 4 early on. I am going to have to go back through and check.

OK - just the funny thing is - it didn't look like anyone else in the crew saw him.
I noticed that you see Stark almost only when he's talking to Zaan. When the camera takes the viewpoint of someone else in the crew - you often don't see him. Even if he was just close to Zaan a sec ago and you see her. Also no one else seems to notice or say anything to him, only Zaan.

Perhaps I'm imagening things?

I read in a commentary transcript that they filmed a couple of extra scenes at the beginning which had Stark arriving etc - and they had to cut them out for time, and because they tend to dislike exposition scenes.

Dunno about anyone else, but I'm not a Stark fan - although he is pretty funny when he really goes crazy. Not as funny as Crichton, though!

Crichton's wig-outs are hilarious. In LATP when he goes crazy in the cargo ship with Braca & (I forget the little green character's name; Ben's wife played her, didn't she)... he's jumping around yelling, & they're starting to look really scared of him, & then he goes "oh man, you people are so DUMB"... :lol

it may have something to do with his "abilites"..that would be why he could find them and not Scorpious....who knows?

Out of respect for the Jim Henson Company we don't discuss downloading episodes on the board. Can I encourage you to possibly rent this ep for Netflix or borrow it from a fellow scaper?

P.S. Welcome to the board!

I didnt even know you could get the episodes on Netflix, I think I'll try that or just save my money and get either the boxset or Starburst edition

By the way, I've heard some people say they're not keen on this episode. I really liked it myself (and I wish I had the US editions so I could hear the Ben & Claudia commentary!) I wonder if people aren't so keen on it because it is quite different from other Farscape eps, no action, slightly supernatural and totally character based?

I wasn't that keen on it, because the whole "it was all a dream" thing turns me off most plots, where the characters go through some whole story/experience, & then it basically gets negated at the end, for all practical purposes... And I didn't find Crichton as an old man, too believable. Why, after (how many years???) on this planet with nobody around from his own culture or dialect... does he develop this pronounced southern accent? It just doesn't feel to me like a natural development of the character. Why did he get so crochety, & after a whole lifetime there doesn't seem to be any connection to all his experiences in that lifetime, & he is more fixated than ever on getting back to Moya. I suppose it seemed to me like the life he supposedly led all that time, should seem a little more... present, in his mind, or something...
I did like the romantic bits :O & I thought the ending was good, where they are talking about how they "think" something might have happened, the dust blows out of the locket...
Maybe I just didn't like seeing Ben as OLD.;)

I am not a fan of 'reset' episodes either - they seem a juvenile and simplistic form of storytelling to me - and for that reason I initially dismissed "The Locket" as disappointing and flat.

But like all Farscape I have since come to the conclusion that there is much more to this episode than a simple reset.

Stark describes center halos in almost the exact same way as AncientEinstein describes unrealised realities. And we get to see "The Locket" as flashback in another episode. An episdoe that never happened as a flashback?

There is way more to this episode than a simple reset.

Oh, yeah-- I totally agree that there is more to this episode! If there had been a proper Season 5 (and maybe 6) we would have seen referrences and more reprocusions from Aeryn and John's time on the "favored planet." If I remember right, John and Aeryn were living in "real time" and it was Moya and the rest of the crew that were moving at a snail's pace. It's the kind of thing that can boggle the mind and still it's fun to contemplate!
