My name is Joel and I live outside Chico, 2 to 4 hrs from the Bay Area. I have some magnetic signs I'd like to give to some Bay Area commuters out there 1 foot by 3 foot. You will have to come up with the sticker or ad but any graphics shop can help you with that. Since I live in the sticks It would be better to have them go to someone who will be seen.
In addition I need any art or screen capture for some flash ads I am trying to create.
I also need any reviews you have read on the show so I can include those in the flash ads.

nevermind, i got it off the SFA list.

Official time of the rally is 1-5pm.

We'll be meeting in front of the Henson Studios and then walking
about 8 blocks to Mann's Chinese Theater. (The studio is located on
the La Brea Ave. between Sunset and Fountain. It occupies the
original Charlie Chaplin Studios and with a green frog on the roof,
Kermit, it is hard to miss.)

Parking can be found east of La Brea on De Longpre and Detroit and
other side streets.

Driving instructions will be posted later.

Note: There is a movie being shot in front of Mann's Chinese, but
the sidewalks are still open. There have been lots of people hanging
around watching the action, so there should be plenty of opportunity
to hand out flyers.

Hollywood Rally Update to the Update and more

Time: 1-5pm
Where: Front of Henson Studios (La Brea Ave. and De Longpre between Sunset and Fountain)
What to Wear: Farscape wear if you have any. Farscape costumes if you made them. (Why not show the world your sewing skills. <vbg>)

What to Bring: Comfy walking shoes, sunscreen, and signs and posters. I’ll have flyers to hand out to the crowd. If you want to bring additional flyers and materials, feel free to do so. The more the merrier.

What about later: Dinner of course!!! Lots of restaurants to choose from in the area where we can hang out and talk.

Possible Bonus: Well not exactly a bonus, but they are scheduled to be filming a movie on Hollywood Blvd. It’s the last day of shooting and there will be a lot of gawkers in the area to hand out flyers to. Explosions, helicopters, screaming extras... it could be fun to watch.


Directions:

(For those familiar with the Hollywood area, you will notice that I will be taking a different route to La Brea. This is to avoid the traffic problems caused by the filming on Hollywood Blvd.)

Coming from the North, take the 101 South (towards Downtown Los Angeles). Exit at Cahuenga Blvd. Turn right on Cahuenga and take it to Fountain Blvd. (you will go past Hollywood Blvd. and Sunset). Turn right on Fountain Blvd. Go to La Brea Ave. Turn Right on La Brea. The next block is De Longpre. You can either turn left or right. Park on any side street and walk back to La Brea. The Henson Studio is the one with Kermit on the roof. You can’t miss it.

Coming from the South, take the 101 North (towards Sacramento) exit at Cahenga Blvd. Turn left at the end of the exit. Follow directions above for 101 South above.

Coming from the West, take 101 East (towards Los Angeles/San Bernadino). 101 East turns into 101 South (towards Los Angeles) Follow directions above for 101 South above.

Coming from the East from Pasadena, San Bernadino (134/206) -- take 134 Freeway west (towards Ventura), exit at Forest Lawn Drive. (Turn left on to Forest Lawn at exit) Take this road past Warner Brothers to Barham (third traffic light). Make a left on Barham. Take it to the end of the road. Make a right onto Ventura/Cahuenga. Immediately past the Mobil gas station (the first traffic light) there is an entrance to the 101 on the right. Enter the freeway and get into the 2nd lane when possible. Do not exit at Highland. Go to the Cahuenga exit. Follow the directions for 101 South above.

From the 10 West or East, exit at La Brea Ave. Take La Brea for about 15 - 20 minutes. Once you pass Santa Monica Blvd., you’ll be about 3 blocks from De Longpere. You can either turn left or right. Park on any side street and walk back to La Brea. The Henson Studio is the one with Kermit

I knew *of* Farscape for awhile, but had not gotten around to setting the vcr (I now have Tivo though) and bought the dvds after they cancelled Firefly as I was desperate for good scify.... And boy did I get it! ;)

Welcome to the board.

Sorry, but the CaScaper shirt isn't for sale. It was designed for a small group of friends that meets in the L.A. area. However, we do have "meet and greets" for Farscape fans in the area from time to time and we are WAY over due for one. As soon as a date and place are selected, we'll post to the various forums.

I DO know that there may be a Halloween party if there is enough interest. If you go over to the Kansas board, there was a notice that was just posted regarding trying to put together a party.

You may also want to check out the various Yahoo Farscape groups. I believe the LasVegasFarscape group is planning a trip there in the near future. They're a fun group and Las Vegas is always fun.

Well it's a year later, here I am posting almost to the day.

This is DesertRat letting you all know I'm in SoCal, Hesperia to be exact ( in the middle of the desert). Very hard finding a scaper here. Tried to organize a "get to know ya", but the responders are just too far away from each other.
Also, my business keeps me busy on most weekends.
Hard for me to travel and stay any period of time on weekdays too. I'm up for ideas though.

I was hoping to join a group but no one seems to be anywhere near me - Glendale/Pasadena - I guess I'm centrally located so finding a group should not be a problem. Does anyone know where the CA Scapers are from? They were so cute with their uniform shirts. They even gave Ben one at the convention. I often visit my sisters in Cerritos so Orange County is not unfamiliar. Haven't seen the beach in a long while...

Hmmm, bit too far for me. I tried to RSVP for the Alameda County meetup but I can't find where to do it. I've voted for the venue, but that's all I can find!

Inland SoCal area (specifically Riverside) scaper here. Is there a group that meets locally in the Inland area, or is OC / LA / SD the closest?

I'm down round in Pacifica, just South of SF. Boy do we have the best fireworks in the whole area, tonight is the warm up night and I've counted >70 mortar shells, >10 rocket batteries and 5 or so mortar batteries.
