Well, I now have Season 2 collections 1 & 2 (starburst editions). I was going to start on them last night, but I was just too tired. Went to bed early and got the first great night's sleep I've had in ages.

So, today, I've plowed through the first 4 episodes. There are only 10 episodes left for me to watch (until I get collection 3 - probably in a couple of days).

Anyone else find it scary that you can sit and watch so many hours of a show in a row?!?!? I'm going to do my best not to go much farther than the next 3 episodes today/tonight. I'm trying to make it last, but it's difficult.

Also, I'm finding that as much as I want to go surfing through the messageboard, there are mentions here and there about stuff that happens later on. I know I've been spoiled somewhat, so it's not about what I might find out happens later on. It's just that these spoilers don't make much sense to me since they aren't what will happen in the very next episode, but stuff that happens a year, two or three down the line!

Ah well. Back to my marathon. I've seen posts and heard discussion on the DVD extras about "The Way We Weren't" - so I'm looking forward to that. And it has commentary with Ben & Claudia, so that's *sure* to be amazing. They are just too awesome together. I was rewatching "Nerve" with the audio commentary. They kept making references to the movie "Galaxy Quest" which I think is hysterical. I love these people.

Gotta go. Farscape calls!

You might want to stick to the forums specific to the season that you're currently watching. It depends on how sensitive to spoilers you are.

You're getting to the point in the series where A LOT of great stuff is starting to happen so please don't go through the episodes so fast that you aren't really enjoying how great they are.

'The Way We Weren't' was one of the first, of many, very "powerful" episodes to me. It really, really made an impact on me and let me know that this series was going to be very special. :)

Since my last posting I've watched The Way We Weren't through The Locket and I can't wait to finish the rest of season 2. (I'm hoping I won't be waiting too long for the DVDs I ordered. The last couple of episodes I watched were actually from Netflix DVDs in my queue.)

I especially loved The Way We Weren't, Out of Their Minds, Look at the Princess 1-3, Won't Get Fooled Again, and The Locket.

Some really touching stuff and some incredibly funny stuff. Some random thoughts:

I loved Aeryn and Pilot in The Way We Weren't. Soooo fabulous.

I've talked about Out of Their Minds in another thread. Too many great moments to mention.

Look at the Princess trilogy - wonderful John/Aeryn relationship stuff going on there. Perhaps I'm too much of a sap for the J/A relationship, but I really wasn't happy with the one night stand with Jena. The ending was totally perfect.

I loved the whacked out stuff happening in Crichton's mind in Won't Get Fooled Again. Crichton tells Dr. Bettina Fairchild she looks like an old girlfriend, "but with nicer hair." (Claudia's hair is normally curly, right?) It was so much fun to see all the other characters being so different. Well, actually "Jessica" wasn't very different from Chiana. Too bad we didn't get to see her as a bartender or something. Anthony Simcoe gets to kiss Claudia Black. (He's the only one that has kissed all the women on the show - at least as far as I've seen.) And he has that hilarious bit telling Crichton how he feels about him in the car in the moonlight.

The Locket - beautiful. I started looking for some other posts about The Locket, but I keep finding stuff that references The Choice and other future episodes that I don't really want to know about. The ever popular "did they or didn't they debate" which I assume is never actually resolved in a later episode. (About whether they were intimate in this episode.) I mean, they were intimate during A Human Reaction, but I don't think they were after that through this point. Remember Aeryn's line from Look at the Princess: "I will not be a slave to your hormones." The only other times they did it or got close were near death experiences/serious danger (The Flax and A Human Reaction). When John asks Aeryn whose picture is in the locket, she says, "You know who it is." But, John assumes it's a picture of her husband and then taunts her by saying he thinks it's his picture. She taunts him back to go ahead and look...and John backs down. That and the way John says, "I love you" to Aeryn's dead body and cries at seeing his picture in the locket tells me that they never admitted their feelings for one another.

God, I love this show!!!

Meredith, did you get seasons 1 and 2 on the double-sided or single-sided discs? I'm still looking for 1.1, 2.1, 2.2, and 2.3 on single-sided and I'm wondering where I should order from.

Won't Get Fooled Again is my favorite (semi stand-alone) episode of the whole series. The insanity and intensity of that episode blew me away. I basically had my jaw droped the whole way through.

Yeah, that episode is nuts. I've been showing my girlfriend some of the better episodes, and she was just floored by that one, especially since I showed her A Human Reaction right beforehand. Won't Get Fooled Again is as intense of an episode as there is IMO, maybe even moreso than Nerve.

Amazon is a good bet for SS disks on Season 2. DeepDiscountDVDs is too, but their return policy is dren. Correction, the policy is not dren, the customer service during the return is. I'd stick with amazon, unless you really want to gamble saving $6 with DDD.

I did some of my purchases through Amazon.com and some through Deepdiscountdvd.com. Amazon isn't that much more money that DDD for the actual DVDs, but shipping costs vary quite a bit depending on how fast you want them and how many you buy (since Amazon has a per item charge). However, if you're trying for quick/priority shipping, you're better off with Amazon. I've had no problems with DDD - their stuff just doesn't necessarily come as quickly as it says it should and you can't track their packages. But hey, that's why their so cheap, right?

Oh, and everything I've purchased has been single-sided. It never occurred to me they might be double-sided. Are the double-sided discs still floating around out there? For some reason, I got the impression they stopped making those because there were so many problems (skipping and freezing).

As I wait for 2.3 to arrive (DDD says 3-5 days which means anytime between today and...anytime), I may just go back to the beginning and watch them straight through. I actually didn't do that originally since I would immediately rewatch episodes with commentary. :)

meredithchandler73, Please can you post to confirm if you get the single-sided version of 2.3 from DDD! I've been holding off ordering as I can't get confirmation of any retailers stocking the single sided version.
Many thanks!

I'm happy to tell everyone whether my 2.3 (and 3.1, 3.2 and 3.3) DVDs are single-sided or not. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that 2.3 comes tomorrow. I'll post here whenever they come.
