Wow. WOW!!!! I watched the trilogy last night and the final episode of season 2 this morning on the train to work. (I was warned to have kleenex handy. Shoulda listened.)
Just a few thoughts off the top of my head:
--Love how complex everything was in the trilogy. Loved Zhaan as Orala - her costume, her demeanor. And Chiana as the ultimate yes-man at her side, repeating the end of her sentences. Fun! Fun! Fun!
--Any proximity alerts between John & Aeryn are always welcome and appreciated. Woohoo. And everything they said...uh...didn't say to each other. Love, love, love it.
--I wonder if there is a record as to the number of previous episodes referenced in an episode. Not just on Farscape, but any show! LGaM has it all!!! Durka, Tavleks (and even brought Tavloid joke back), the Flax, the blood trackers and more! Oh, I suppose the final episode of "Seinfeld" probably holds the record. (I didn't see it, but I heard about it.) But besides that show. :)
--Die Me, Dichotomy - too amazing for words. Like the first season finale, I could not believe so much happened in just one episode. It's all wonderful. Now I'm *DYING* to watch the episode again with commentary, but as I've found in the past, the commentators tend to assume that you have seen the entire series already and mention stuff that happens later on. These commentaries are *so* entertaining and I love them - especially the ones with Ben and/or Claudia. (This one has both.) Does anyone out there know how badly I'll be spoiled for future stuff if I watch this commentary? Maybe I should watch the first few episodes of the 3rd season and then go back and listen to the commentary?
I'm counting the minutes until I'm out of work today so I can run home and watch more Farscape.

I don't know about the commentary as I don't have 2.3 yet. I'd stay away from it anyhow. I've noticed that in commentary for finale of Season 1, there was quite a bit of spoilers about all of the other finales in the series.

To quote Crichton, "I'm not in...control."
Can't...stay...away...from...commentaries.
The fact is, I'm fairly spoiled already between the commentaries I've already listened to and some accidental stuff that creeps into posts on the messageboard. I asked a question about a season 1 episode and at first the answers were, "you may feel differently after you watch episode ____ in season 2" and then the next post had more specific info about that episode in season 2. They're all well-meaning, but it's easy to slip and start referring to things that happen later.
In any case, I will definitely watch the opening of season 3 next. But I'm fairly certain I'll end up going back to listen to the Die Me, Dichotomy commentary right afterwards.

It's great hearing new fans get wrapped up in the show. Welcome and please let us know if you give in to temptation.
We like that sort of thing around here.

Yes, I gave in to temptation. I finished the 2nd season, watched the first two episodes of the 3rd season and went back to listen to the commentary for Die Me, Dichotomy. Lots of fun, and more spoilers revealed.
I'm on to season 3 now. I'll post in that sub-forum as I go along. :)

My fav trilogy of farscape....and part 1 is one of my all time favourite eps of actually, in fact I popped the ep in my dvd player the other day: not only do you get laughs, action, big budget stuff, the love angle but the banter is great and its just proof of what a great show farscape is!

The Scorpious love scene was so sick that...I can't remember if I ever made it to the trashbin in time.

I loved the die me dichotomy eppy best out the lot it was very powerful especially the bit bet Scorpious and John Crichton when he is tied on the metal ball and Scorpious gets in his mind and the audience know Harvey is controlling John, how he kills Aeryn was painful and you could feel Johns numbing pain the bit that was the most sinister bit was when they said i love you but you knew it was Harvey not John.
The Rygel bit where he loses his clothes was a hoot! I think it was the first eppy of the trilogy where it ends on a cliff hanger of John surrendering to Scorpious to save Jothee was very much a parrellel with Angel's eppy home where he desides to take over W&H to save Conner. We get to see bad ass Zhaan!
I'd also love to find out what Aeryn ment (and transpired)when she said "take what you want i wont stop you" to Crais....

I can't believe I didn't mention Aeryn's line to Crais, "You can have anything you want, anything." Not only one of those moments where your jaw hits the floor ("Did she say what I think she said?!?!") - but you could see why she was saying it. And best of all, I loved her delivery of the line and the way the scene played out. She didn't say the line as if she were desperately pleading - sad or scared by his possible reaction. She didn't say it like it was a sexual offer. Simple and direct, no innuendo - I'll give you anything you want if you'll help us save John.
And to the credit of the writer, Lani and the director - the scene didn't degrade to lechery. Aside from Crais's somewhat bemused response, "Why, Officer Sun, are you offering yourself?" Crais doesn't seem to take the bait.
I gotta say - the writing and portrayal of Crais has been excellent. You keep wondering whose side he is on and what his true motives are. From the premiere episode you thought you knew who Crais was going to be - the main villain. But it's not that cut and dried.

Crais evolved into a Hero.
He and Talyn died for the Moya crew(his friends). And also revenge against the PK who betrayed him.

Sh1t happens
I thought it was season 2. I'm a newbie as well.

Talyn06 - are you trying to be rude?

No, I thought I was amongst Friends....
being amongst friends means having respect for your fellow posters - making comments like
You must be an American Idol fan
when you previously said:
As far as the sheeple go, they watch what they're told to watch. If you put enough 'whistles and bells' on sh1t, the sheeple go nuts for it(American Idol, WWE, etc., etc.). Those at the top(ceo's,sponsors, etc.) understand this.
means to me that you are disrespecting meredithchandler73. apologize to her. If you continue to disrespect your fellow posters, I will put you back on moderated posting until you learn our posting rules and post appropriately.

A Friend wouldn't demand that, Friends don't attack you because you don't like what they like, ie. waltersgirl attacking me(read the post again). I said over and over again to: drop it(TRUCE!TRUCE!,we'll agree to disagree)
I'm the one being disrespected.
It's convenient that she posted that immediatley after all this BS with waltersgirl. And what's with the= !!!, meridith
Just take my name off the forum list. I have enough BS in my life.
Farscape forever
waltersgirl wasn't attacking you - I read the post. You weren't disrespected, but you sure did the disrespecting.
a friend might not demand it, but an administrator at a website would. sorry you feel the way you do - hope you have a good life.

WG its not your place to apologize, you did nothing wrong. You know I don't speak out about people or mods often but this person needs to learn some manners. He also needs to find some better words to use in his posts.

As the person who started this thread, it's no longer about the episodes I wanted to discuss. Can we just get rid of it already?
Thank you.

Well actually to get back to the epsiodes being discussed, they are some of my favorites, I love the interaction between John and Scorpy. I love it when those two really get into their roles. Gives me goosebumps!

Actually, John said " I am in control . I am in control of me ! " That is what he said, really. And then he smashed the mirror , again, and again, and again. But we all know that he wasn't . I mean he was LOSING control of himself. Because of the Scorpius / Harvey thing. The neural clone inside his head. I just love all three episodes in the " Liars, Guns and Money " episode. I ball every time I watch the ending. Because I just can't stand the fact that John is in so much pain. The poor dear . And I wish they would have called it, " Liars, Money and Guns " . Because in the first episode, they were dealing with the fact that Stark was lying alot ( to John ) and everyone. And the second episode was dealing with the fact that their money is actually spiders that were eating up Moya. And then the third and final installment of the trilogy would be because of the fact they had to use their guns to get John Crichton out of the Shadow Depository . . . alive . And all in one piece. Therefore, it should not have been called " Liars, Guns and Money" But rather, " Liars, Money, and Guns ". And anyway, it is one of my favourites. I dunno, I guess I am just a sucker for these kinds of Farscape episodes. ( ones that are dealing with John Crichton , a lot ).
