AjarScape's "SpongeJohn FarScape"

Hello Fellow Scapers!
Welcome this year's parody of FarScape brought to you by the side-ways thinking mind of AjarScape!
I debut something new every year - and this time I decided to merge the worlds of FarScape and SpongeBob Squarepants!
First off - I started with the logo...
(If you notice, I turned the orange jellyfish with the Nickelodeon logo into Moya and changed the background to FarScape 1 getting sucked down the wormhole...)

I had to design all the characters of FarScape from the SpongeBob universe - which wasn't easy... (There aren't many choices for females...)
Here is our hero - SpongeJohn Crichton...

Only Sandy the squirrel could be made into Aeryn...
My fave part is that I took the acorn that Sandy always has on her space suit and turned it into the PeaceKeeper symbol...

Here's the Dominar we all love - or hate - LOL!!!
And only Plankton could work for this one!

Here is D'Argo!
One of my friends asked me who I'd be turning into D'Argo and I told him Patrick!
He gave me an odd look and said he just couldn't picture it...
The next day I brought it into for him to see and he told me he shouldn't have doubted me...

With not too many females to choose from in SpongeBob, I came across a pic from the movie and there was a mermaid!
I know Gigi is into all kinds of mystical creatures, so I was sure she'd love this!

I had only 2 choices to create a character for Zhaan...
Pearl the whale, or Mrs. Puff - the driving instructor...
Since Mrs' Puff is shaped like Mrs. Potato Head, I decided to go with the lesser of two evils and turn Zhaan into a whale - a blue whale (of course!)

Since I ran out of main characters from SpongeBob, I paid close attention to how the fishpeople were drawn in the background, and just had to wing it...
I have to admit - Stark came out as my fave character this year!
(I giggle every time I look at that spaz look on his face! LOL!)

I noticed last year that Lani had signed some autographs "Captain Cranky" - so I decided to turn him into "Captain Crabby" this year!

Who better to make into the arch-villian than Squidward!
I like to call this character "Squidwarious"

And no cartoon collection would be complete without the Mambo-shirt-wearing trouble maker, Harvey!

As with Stark, I had to wing it to create Braca's character...
David Franklin asked me why he ended up being a grouper...
LOL!!!

Yes, our favorite big bossomed babe made it into the SpongeJohn Universe...

I was torn on how to do this one - but I think the spikey fins make her look like she has her trademark 'sputnik' hair-do

This was the final design for the tee shirt I wore at Creation Entertainment's 2006 Official FarScape Convention in Burbank California!

She was giggling when I gave it to her and said to me - "This must be the 4th one you've done for me - I'll have to get a little book to put them all in!"

Unfortunately, I didn't have time to create a cartoon version of Kent McCord...
I did tell him that every time there was a father and son scene in FarScape - it always brought me to tears...

After we took this picture he told me that he has my Fairly OddScaper version of D'Argo on the wall behind his desk at home...
I thanked him and got all red and embarrassed, I'm glad he told me this AFTER the pic was taken - I would have looked so flushed if he told me before..
I was floored when he told me!!!

Just before this pic was taken was the charity breakfast - which Ben was at...
When I went up to talk to him, he said "Hey Andy! How are you?"
(THUNK! I freak when I think that he actually knows my name!)
I gave him one of the five "SpongeJohn FarScape" tee shirts I had printed up for the weekend and he was laughing when he was looking at it!
When he went to leave the table he shook my hand again and said "It was great seeing you again Andy!"
(THUNK - AGAIN!)

After we took the the last pic, he flipped the pic around so he could get another look at it and then told the photographer that we needed to take another pic - so he could get SpongeJohn's expression right!
I'm just cracking up!

Ben's Bunny Outfit from FarScape was in the prop museum at the con and he decided to wear it one last time - when he went on stage!!!!
LOL!

Yep - he was havin' a good ol' time up there in that suit - but he was startin to get a bit warm...
So off came the head piece...

As he was getting hotter, he took off the gloves and then decided it was time to take off the top half of the Bunny suit...
The shirt he was wearing underneath kinda scrunched up when he took off the top half of the suit and I noticed the shirt underneath had baby blue sleeves - and I thought to myself - "No WAY!!!"
Yep - he had thrown on the SpongeJohn FarScape tee shirt I had given him at breakfast earlier in the day!!!
I just sat there in disbelief!
Jaw agape...
(The girl next to me took a pic of my reaction - I'll post it here when I get it...)
I was sitting in the 3rd row and every head turned and looked at me and I could hear people in the crowd screaming "ANDY!"
He pointed to me and was laughing!
He asked if he looked good in it - I shouted back - "You look a HELL of a lot better in it than I do!
LOL!
I just sat there stunned the rest of the time he was on stage...

When I had Virginia Hey sign my poster, she was a little upset that she was depicted as a whale...
I tried to explain it to her - but David Franklin - who was signing autographs next to her - told me I was just diggin myself in deeper...
When I got my pic taken with her (and the pic of David Franklin and myself, that I will post when I get them from Creation), she asked me if she could bring me up on stage for a spanking...
I said "Sure!"
So after she had been on stage for a bit, she said that there was someone there who was in need of a spanking and I just stood up - my head hung low and marched that way up on the stage, turned away from her and bent over...
She wound up and gave me a good old tap on my ass!
She then went on to explain to the crowd that she was teasing me about being upset about being pictured as a whale...
In Australia, when someone refers to someone as a Whale - they are saying they are fat...
And a couple weeks ago at another con, someone had asked her when the 'happy day' was... thinking she was pregnant!!!
So she's a bit touchy about weight right now - and my cartoon didn't help...
(Personally - I didn't think she had put on ANY weight at all! She looks like the beautiful woman I've seen over all these years!)

If I thought the bunny suit was hysterical, and it was, I was taken totally by surprise when I saw the SpongeJohn shirt underneath. Proof that Ben's one heck of a good sport, as well as a connoisseur of fine cartoon art!

I just ran across your SpongeJohn FarScape while looking for a picture of Sandy (I know I don't have to explain or qualify that in any way) and I can't wait to be the one to expose all of my Farscape Fiend Friends to it! You are absolutely brilliant and have inspired me to join this forum, which I rarely do.
