This list is so arguably poor but check out this week's TV Guide mag (July 23-Aug. 5, 2007). On page 100 -- for those of you following at home -- they have a little feature box titled "TV To Die For," part of their "1000 Shows You Should See Before You Die." This week sci fi shows are highlighted. I don't think this is in any particular order but here's the list --
Battlestar Galactica (1978-79 -- with a nod to the reinvented series)
Buck Rogers in the 25th Century (1979-81)
V (1983-85)
Dark Angel (2000-02)
Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea (1964-69)
Firefly (2002 -- and a mention of "Serenity")
Space: 1999 (1975-77)
Lost (2004-present)
Stargate SG-1 (1997-2007)
Star Trek (1966-2005 -- the whole kit and kaboodle franchise)
I swear, for the uninitiated, half these shows would put viewers to sleep. Obviously, no one consulted Matt Roush for HIS opinion....
