View Full Version : Possible Locations For New Webisodes
Right! Let's review our checklist...
Creators. Check.
Characters. Check.
Network. Check.
Locations. Hmmmmmmm. No one's said anything about those, yet.
So, where are the webisodes going to be set? It probably depends on the budget as multiple sets cost money. But if it's not fun and doesn't look good, then the fans might possibly be turned off. And it wouldn't be Farscape if the sets didn't kick serious ass!
Now let's take our best guesses at where we'll see the next stage of the journey.
And multiple votes are accepted!

You have to first ask yourself why Sci-Fi would, after 3 years, decide to renew Farscape suddenly if they didn't have a larger motive. Stargate SG-1 is no longer a series, and Battlestar Galactica is just about to move into its final season. With the popularity Farscape had and amassed even after its cancellation (especially after), one has to wonder if this isn't merely them dipping their toes to see if the water is still warm for Farscape.
I would guess that it will be Moya for at least one of the webisodes, since it is supposed to be focusing on D'argo Sun-Crichton. Though it's possible that some of the others will be included, but given the Eidolon's mediation over the Peacekeepers and the Scarrens, I'm not sure what involvement the Peacekeepers would have, so I doubt the Command Carrier would be a hostile environment at the least.

Interesting notion... Let's hope that they see it the same way we do.

I know you already found the other thread, but for anyone else wondering, I gave a solution that worked for me in this thread - http://www.watchfarscape.com/forums/showthread.php?t=38555
I think Moya makes the most sense as a location. Granted, that may not be the case, but if the story focuses at all on John, Aeryn or baby (?) D'argo, then I can see them still living on Moya for a good many years. One, because John and Aeryn consider Moya home and since Leviathans are so long lived, if the show focuses on a grown-up D'argo he might still be living on Moya at that point.
He'll probably inherit the Farscape-1 module from John as well.

I agree with Feijan... why they do that after slaughtering the, at first, 4th and 5th seasin being reduced to a mere 4th season and a mini series?
My my my.... it sounds to me as a desperate patch to calm the enormous rage of the scapers (myself included)!!
And quoting leeturnbull.... I'm from Europe... what that it means? that I won't be able to watch Farscape?? This is a denial I can't bear!!!
Hope the throw light into this issue!
May the Goddes be with you!

heh. lord, i wish. although if we hear anything, we'll let ya know as soon as we're able.
that said, the location is going to be entirely dependent upon where they choose to go with the webisodes...which, yeah, that's sort a self-referential statement i suppose, but true i think, nonetheless.
i mean, until we know the "when" of the story, i don't think we can even begin to ballpark the "wheres".
it's fun guessing, of course.;)
as to those positing Moya, that's not really a location, imho, so much as a hoping that ship's still involved, yanno?

they *do* have a larger motive, and they've already been upfront about what that is. the BSG webisodes proved highly successful on Skiffy's broadband platform, SciFiPulse, and Skiffy knew that Farscape still had a strong following, and they wanted to expand the SciFiPulse platform with regards to original content and chose Farscape to do that with.

Not to worry -- I'd be willing to bet money that someone will eventually post it on YouTube.

Moya, though I kinda agree with waltersgirl about choosing it. Still, I couldn't help but do so, anyway.

I LOVE Commerce planets....That's where all the cool meshing of different alien life forms always happens.
I also want to see Talyn rebuilt and some time spent on him.
I also want to see some story lines in alternate dimensions......where Zhaan is.
