Hi everyone, I came across Farscape on TV and found that I really like the show. Any recommendations as to where to buy the complete series including the Peacekeeper Wars? If possible I would like my $$ to show my support of the show (which rules out buying used copies and bootlegs). The official site has a link to ADV films, so I'm guessing this will do?
Based on the recommendation on this forum (searched older topics) I'll be getting starburst editions for seasons 2,3, and 4. Where should I get the Peacekeeper Wars? Also, I'm guessing that I will probably have to rent season 1 for the time being. Is there a petition for sony to release season 1 on DVD?
Season 1 ??
Season 2 Starburst Editions 1,2,3
Season 3 Starburst Editions 1,2,3
Season 4 Starburst Editions 1,2,3
Peacekeeper Wars ??
Thanks
Nicola

Hi je.cash
Peacekeeper Wars is distributed by Lionsgate Films and you can usually find it at most on-line retailers.
Season One is more difficult. It is very expensive and hard to find. Exyte.com (http://exyte.com/) has it, but they only sell it bundled in with all four seasons. And it is very expensive.
I am not even sure you can rent Season One anymore. However all is not lost; check your local library. 'Scapers have worked hard since 2003 to get Farscape into the library systems in Canada and the US and your local library might just have it. If not you can always request an intra-library loan. That might work.
In addition (and back to Seasons 2,3 and 4) ADV (http://www.advfilms.com/buy/live-action/search.aspx?search=farscape%20starburst&anime=&liveaction=621&manga=&merchandise=&music=) is having a big Farscape sale right now - each season for $36.00 US. This is less than half-price and I don't think you will find better prices for those seasons anywhere. But move quickly - sale ends September 24. :)

I'd check out ebay for season 1. I was lucky enough to find mine there.

Thanks, I just got seasons 2,3, and 4 for $121 total. Now to get the peacekeeper wars and track down season 1...
By the way, I was talking to some friends this weekend and found out that several of them are also Farscape Fans. For one of them, it was his top favorite show. I had no idea. I'll have to let him know about the sale.

Hmm... I thought I replied but I guess it didn't go through.
Anyways, I went ahead and ordered the starburst editions for seasons 2, 3, and 4. Thanks for the quick response which helped me decide to order them. I found out that a few of my friends are also fans of Farscape, unfortunately I didn't have enough time to let them know about the sale. They've held off on buying the complete series because it's too expensive for them, I think they were looking at the $500 complete series.
Since the first season might be a little difficult to find, do you think I should wait before watching season 2?

Cool, I just got the complete season 1 on DVD for about $60 at a pawn shop.
Oddly it was produced by ADV films, so I guess that Sony bought the rights for just the first season and decided to do nothing with it? Why Sony, why?
Anyways, I'm pretty happy. I had never seen the first episode before.
