Gigi or Claudia as Chianna?

I was just watching a couple episodes last night and the idea struck me, which do you prefer as Chianna? For any reason, looks, acting abilities etc.

Personally I love Claudia a Aeyrn, It's just when they put the make up and hair and stuff on, she has a really great look to her that Gigi has but it's more emphasized in Claudia. Don't get me wrong, I still love Gigi as Chianna, but theres just something when Claudia plays her.

So what are your thoughts?

Both are excellent actors and either could play both roles -Chiana or Aeryn. It just happens that the "powers" behind the scenes, who decided which actors to hire, saw the power of Claudia as Aeryn having that special chemistry with Ben. Chiana, certainly a different kind of creature from Aeryn, in that really out there way, was probably better portrayed by a slightly younger actor, Gigi -who was incredibly uninhibited in her portrayal.

Oh yah, I mean I think the directors made the absolute right choice.

Claudia is a great actor, but Gigi makes a much better Chiana.

Gigi was the origonal and best.I did love Claudia as her though,it must have taken real talent to imitate Gigis cat like moves.

Gigi made Chiana.

The writers put the words in her mouth - but Gigi built that character from the ground up. (To the point that the writers changed a relative of Chiana's from female to male at Gigi's request.)

Claudia was fantastic as Chiana - but she didn't build the character. She had to embody a fully realised character without imposing any of her own interpretations. (That was the nature of the episode.) So her work was confined by parameters she didn't establish.

She did a fantastic job.

But Gigi owned Chiana. Gigi set those parameters, built those physical moves, created the breathy delivery of lines, layered in the vulnerability yet steetwise survivability of the character. The writers and she worked in collaboration to build Chiana.

Claudia assumed a previously built character - and didn't change her.

I can't imagine anyone other than Gigi playing Chianna, sorry but like Nicola pionted out she owns the role!

Just as Claudia owns the role of Aeryn. There is a power to her chemistry with Ben that makes the portrayals explosive. But it is Claudia's talent that really makes Aeryn who she is.

Gigi is perfect for the part. Nothing against Claudia. :)

I vote for Gigi too. Claudia (bless her) just isn't mad enough.
Besides, if Claudia was playing Chi who would be Aeryn? Claudia is awesome in that roll.
