Today is the 5th anniversary of the airing of Bad Timing. It was a fun-filled and sad day all rolled into one.

Hundreds of bras arrived on Bonnie Hammer's doorstep at Sci-Fi Channel in protest of the cancellation of Farscape. Then that evening - which incidentally was a Friday - we all watched the final episode of our beloved show which ended with no music for the credits and a "To be continued ..." across the screen as Moya sailed into the "setting sun".

Our heroes were "dead" or in the least pulverized and at that point we had no hope that we would ever know what happened to them.

Later we met here on-line and cried together as we talked about what was lost.

If you have the time, scroll through some of the threads and posts from that time period and cry and laugh as we did back then.

I will commemorate today with watching Bad Timing and then The Peacekeeper Wars. What are you doing?

:cry2: oh no! I was really upset at John and Aeryn being pulverized. Unfortunately I did not know about FMD at the time, so I mourned alone.
It's hard to believe that it has been 5 years. I guess that, having met so many fellow 'Scapers at the Conventions following the airing of Bad Timing, Farscape stayed so alive to me. Watching episodes, communicating with other 'Scapers here and at other Farscape and Science Fiction websites. It has kept Farscape alive in a way. We have kept John and Aeryn, Chiana and D'Argo, Zhaan, Stark, Moya, Talyn, Crais, Scorpius, and everyone alive in our hearts and minds all this time. That is the magic of Farscape and it will never die as long as we keep the memories alive.

Hey Zanny so nice to see you, it's been a long time.

Yes the years are zooming past at an alarming rate. It's rather shocking to me that PK Wars was first aired almost 5 years ago too ... when Farscape was cancelled it felt as if we'd lost our best friends (on the show) and at that time there was nothing up ahead except a lot of work with no promises that it would yield anything. But we were tenacious and we hung in there and showed the world what could be done if one is willing to fight and persevere against what seems at the time to be unbeatable odds.

Then PK Wars was announced and in October 2009 it will be 5 years since it first aired. 2009 is also the 10th anniversary of Moya's first voyage through the uncharted territories of our living rooms and hearts.

It doesn't feel like five years. I remember being furious over the ending, and over the little note the SciFi channel attached to the end after the "to be continued." It just inspired me to write more letters and spend more time promoting Farscape. And, what do you know, it worked. We got the mini series.

Happy anniversary. It's hard to believe how fast the time went.

Wow. Five years since Bad Timing?

And next year ten since Farscape first aired?

I'm getting too old for this.

On a side note, I think I'm finally convincing my girlfriend to watch Farscape as well. I watched I, ET the other day (taking me back to the good old days) and still found it a good plot and picked up on some stuff I hadn't noticed before - Aeryn being conflicted about being with the escaped prisoners, and helping them.

Five years - it's still great to see that we have so many people here who were around then (unfortunately I posted the spoilers back then!). I've really got to come here more often.
