I must be out of the loop, because I don't think I have ever seen a used dvd set go for that much...?

Season One on DVD (either original version or Starburst Edition) is really scarce right now.

Twice I have seen a complete Season One go for over $400.00. (*ouch*) Since Sony acquired the rights to Season One - and then not released it on DVD - it is out of print and people are getting desperate.

Fortunately Farscape is on iTunes (Seasons 1 thru 3), for a much more reasonable price. :)

I had sticker shock back when I bought the season one box set when it first came out. The disks have always been really expensive. I guess that's why I never did get Starburst editions, I just could not justify the added cost after having spent so much on the series already. I mean, season 1-4 cost me nearly 900 bucks when all the tax and shipping were added in.... lots of money.

Come to think of it, it was $150 for the first box set and thats a lot considering season i for SGA is at $19.95 at wally......


I would still shell it out all over again, just to be able to watch when ever I want.

(I never did starburst either, got the original, what move do you need?)

I found it once for $99 and I thought that was expensive!
