And now for something completely different... episodes which made you think. Episodes which made you go "well, that's different" for whatever reason. Episodes which showed us Farscape wasn't a run-of-the-mill sci-fi.
I'll begin with three episodes and, of course, HUGE AMOUNTS OF SPOILERS!!!
1.04 - I, E.T.
Originally I think this was supposed to be the second episode. This, I feel, was a good way to start Farscape by showing us that, even though the planet's inhabitants and their society very much resembled mankind, John was still in an alien universe and, to make matters even worse, is now regarded as an alien himself.
3.05 - Different Destinations
Yep, it's your standard time travelling (well, not quite) with various moments of "we can change the past to create a better future" except... well, they don't. Whilst the episode is brilliant, the last moments where John sees what their actions in the past, and in particular his own actions, caused, makes the episode for me.
3.22 - Dog With Two Bones
So what if John did manage to return to Earth? Surely that's his dream? Or is it any more? Here Moya's fight to bury Talyn plays second-fiddle to John coming around to realize that, if he did manage to return to Earth, his friends may not follow or even resent coming with him. I think D'Argo sums it up best with something along the lines of "every moment you dream of returning to Earth, don't begrudge us having dreams".
In any case, discuss your own!
