I saw speaking to someone today and they said that they imported the Peacekeeper Wars from the UK. I just asumed because the Aussie version had no extras but he also claims it has an HOUR extra of the mini-series which was cut out of the Australian DVD. Not bonus stuff but the main mini-series.
My first thought was "WTF!" because I love farscape but seeing as Australia got a late, piss poor copy of it(the title was spelled wrong...) I can see it happening..
Is it true? Did Australia really get a version that heavly edited? Because if so that's crazy! I'm selling my copy and buying a UK version.

I dunno Zinny. I don't have a copy of the Aus version to compare. Sorry I can't help more.
I will say that I do actually have two versions of PK Wars - the Region 1 and Region 2 versions, and the Region 2 version is far and away the better product. Fantastically interesting deleted scenes and interviews with David Kemper, Andrew Prowse and Brian Henson.
Really worthwhile investment. In my opinion of course. :)

Yeah I was thinking of getting it just for the extras.
What's the running time for the region 2 one? I'll check on mine and that'll show if it is cut or not.

Running Time: 247 minutes approximately.

Shit it was edited. Mines only 187mins.
Wow thats annoying but awesome at the same time, new farscape! ...Kind of. :D
Thanks.
Edit: Wait, would that 247 minutes include the extras for you? I know in Australia they only say how long the main feature is and not the extras but it might be different over-seas, I'm not sure.

Yeah, I am pretty sure that includes the extras. :)

I am not sure that you guys got an edited version of PK Wars - or at least not any more edited than the rest of us.
PK Wars is ~3 hours long but after commercials are added becomes a 4 hour mini-series.
One of the reason I like the Region 2 version (besides all the very interesting deleted scenes and interviews etc) is because they split the mini into two parts. The Region 1 version just ran them both together - so the last scene of the crew being gassed on the Scarran Dreadnaught is immediately followed by the scene of a comatose Crichton on Moya with the Aeryn voice over. For a newbie that would be very confusing.

Yeah, I didnt think so.
Still our PK Wars dvd was extremley lacking in the special features department. In fact all Aussie Farscape dvds have had nowhere near as many bonus extras as ones from other regions.

I have just checked my R2 PKW disks, parts 1 & 2 are both EXACTLY 88 mins long from start to black screen after end of credits.
Disk 2 says running time 159 mins which suggests it has 71 mins of extras although I have not verified that.

Reading these posts more carefully, it seems like the R1 and ausie version may be single disk editions, I hope they were cheaper than a two disk set.
I paid £24.95 for mine (I think, it was a long time ago).
