Nov. 24 is the Mother Goose Parade in San Diego, CA. This is probably the biggest parade in San Diego County with over 500,000 people attending last year, and even more will be attending this year. I thought it would be awesome if Save Farscape was in the parade. Over half a million people will see us! This parade is also covered by the media in San Diego, so even more people will see us on TV.
It's not too late for us to apply to participate, and I'm willing to foot the costs of applying so long as they aren't too expensive. But I need people to be in the parade. The more the better and if anyone has costumes, that would be awesome!
I know the Farscape Convention in Burbank will be on that weekend, but if anyone is willing to cut out of the convention a little early and come down for the parade, I would be very grateful. I'll also provide pizza and margarita shooters for anyone who participates :)
I just really think this is an awesome opportunity for publicity that shouldn't be passed up on. Over a half million people in a relatively captive audience, plus media exposure, is nothing to sneeze at, IMO.
