The Scrolls of FARSCAPE Victory!!!

Okay Guys. We've had a nice break, but now it is time for the spotlight again. We need to produce something special at the Global Rally.

If UPN needs to hear from the people (in their own words) why the show is so great, then lets give it to them. Farscape has class. That is what sets is apart. So lets show UPN, Showtime, and even the traitorous Sci Fi how much class that we think this show has...

Lets make Scrolls. If anyone has ever read any piece of literature or remembers anything from history, then you know that all information crucial, sacred, precious, or any importance was written on a Scroll. At the Rallies, we need to have scrolls set our for everyone to write (in there own words) why this show is so special and sign. Anyone can write a letter, but who does this?!! I mean parchment, roll in twin rods, bound in red ribbon... Scrolls. All we need is rolls for cotton bond paper, wooden rods with classy caps, and ribbon. Several could be laid out on tables at the Rallies. We would need pens in permanent ink, so that it wouldn't run. Everyone needs to know what they would write ahead of time. This with Media attention at all the Rallies (Hint, Hint) would go over big!!

It would all be organized because it would be done at the Rallies, each one world wide. All the countries would love it because it screens OLDE WORLD!!! And, the Rally coordinators can communicate with each other to decide who sends their scrolls to which TV Network.

It is a great idea to organize the bill boards for December/January to drum up interest for the remaining Farscape episodes starting in January. But we need attention to keep us going. We need a tie-in to that idea before we loose steam.

It is cheap, easy, and would be Soooo Farscape!!!!!!

Or, instead of coordinate whose scroll goes to which network, why not select two networks (UPN & Showtime off the top of my head) and have one scroll for each network at each rally. I think it would make even more of an impression if each network received, say, 32 scrolls or whatever the rally count is. That should grab their attention!

Thanks for the suggestion guys!! :) You're right, one-by-one we need to put on a show, something original and unique just like Farscape.

I've already e-mailed Red the original "scroll idea", but I'll be re-editing and adding suggestions and these are great!!

If anyone else have a suggestion or comment on how you would like to see this orgainzed or carried out let me know.

Hey all

This idea sounds really great.. and it would be perfect in gothic hand calligraphy. I am a calligrapher and have done scrolls on hand made parchment paper.

I would be happy to lend in my time to do this, but it would be best to have what we want to say figured out exactly.. this is not the sort of thing I want to do over again .

I"m in the Boston area.

I love the scrolls idea! I would like to do this at the San Diego Rally on Oct. 5. What would be the best way to do it?

The other idea that I had was to have stamped envelopes with Sci-Fi's or UPN's address on them. Have either a pre-printed letter than people could sign, or some paper that the people could write a quick letter on, and drop the envelopes in the mail either later that day or on Monday depending on how late the rally goes.

I know we want to avoid the whole form letter thing, but for a rally it would be easier to do that way. People are more willing to sign something quickly than to take some time out of what they are doing to write a letter.

If you do both the scroll, and the stamped envelopes (which I'm hoping to be able to do) we can hit the networks twice with the same people, and they probably wouldn't even notice!
