We, the Loyal Disciples of the Temple of Braca (All Hail Braca!), feel besmirched by the lack of a Wanted poster featuring His sainted likeness. Hence, I have been dispatched post haste to these boards by my fellow worshippers to curry your favor and to petition most respectfully that a graven image of Him be created for our standard, which we will proudly carry and defend into the battle for Season 5!
All Hail!

We most graciously and humbly thank thee, O Red. The Disciples shall continue to chant, light candles and meditate until this thing shall come to pass.
All Hail!

Yo, Besmerched one! Why are you WORSHIPING a second
banana? Was Shemp your favorite Stooge? Let me guess, you
rooted for Robin as a kid, not Batman, right?
Wake up, *worshiper*. Braca's a LACKY, a patsy, a servile
sycophant. Just a footman in the grand scheme of the universe!
Set your sights higher man, be all you can be! Don't degrade
yourself by sucking up to a suck up!
Now Crichton, THERE'S a guy you can look up to.

I must agree with Scaper989
David Franklin may be a good actor; he may be 'handsome' by your human standards...
but Braca is a betrayer; a power hungry toady who would do anything -- including selling out and torturing a man who is perhaps the only hope for saving the Sebacean race -- for....what? rank? power?
LOL! He's got less power now than he did when he was Scorpius' lieutenant. Now he's got a pathetic, insecure, petty, stupid woman for a 'commander' (and I use the term loosely) who loves to blame him for her own failings.
I imagine Braca is now remembering with nostaligia the good ol' days when he had a brilliant, fair, and honourable man as a commander....
"Sainted"? erm...sainted? LOL! Only if 'sainted' means 'debased'.
I can understand cheering Braca on as a joke, or because you enjoy DF's performance (and he is great), but to 'look up to Braca'? My dear Dominar, do aspire to something higher than the gutter. Only if Braca is 'the mole'...is there any hope for him.
;)
As for your Heathen comment, Dominar: were you paying Scaper989 a compliment? If not...perhaps you are unaware that there are real Heathens, who are proud of the name. It is an ancient religion (a group of them actually, primarily of NW European origin). It simply means "those who live on the heath" ie, in the wilderness. It was created as a term of contempt by Christians to describe non-Christians during the time that they were sytematically slaughtering or baptising 'non-believers'. Those outside cities clung to the old ways the longest. Modern Heathens have reclaimed the word. Just for your information.
I have to doubt you knew that.
:)
As for a wanted poster, sure, I think there should be one. That's a tribute to DF.

Ummmmm ...
First of all, I thought the joking tone of my posts was pretty obvious, but I guess not to everyone.
Second of all, no, I did not know the linguistic roots of the word "heathen." I was using it as it is defined in the dictionary, again only jokingly.
Third of all, whatever.
Rhetorical question: why does it seem to bother some people that there are those of us who like Braca? I would think it obvious by my name that I also like Rygel ... for that matter, I like Crichton, D'Argo, Aeryn, Chi and Scorpius as well... That's what's so great about Farscape: each character is so well-defined that you can either love them or love to hate them. The Loyal Disciples watch the same show as the rest of you. We're just having fun, for pete's sake!

in our own ways.
To me, liking the character Braca is one thing. Setting him up as a saint and worshipping him is quite another.
One should be worthy of worship.
Take Scorpius, for instance...
:D
My point was that if you are going to love Braca, love him for what he is: A sychophantic, turncoat, power-hungry toady. Don't white wash him. He's not the Virgin Mary on King Arthur's shield.
LOL!
and yes, I GOT your humour. Did you get mine? :angelgrin
And for the record, I don't look up to Crichton either, but I do think there should be a Braca wanted poster. :P
(the sooner the Karmic Overlords give him his just desserts the better)
*chuckle*
I'll probably make a poster of him myself...from the good old days when he seemed loyal and did his duty.

The disciples of Braca see the greatness of their master no matter who calls him a lackey.
His day will come, you'll all see. Now lighten up. :aok:
All hail!
Also... Hail ratscape! :) :)
