I am from Michigan in the subs of Detroit and I love everything about farscape. If anyone wants to talk farscape I am here. I also love trek and collect everything from both shows fs and trek. My apartment is a scifi space museum. I want a conclusion to Farscape and still cannot believe those frelling hazmuts cancelled the best show on t.v. and certainly the best show they have ever had and never will again. My motto is If FARSCAPE goes, so do I, never again will I watch scifi! I really mean it. I will rent movies or find other scifi shows on other networks(except for fox they cancelled Dark Angel and the beautiful Jessica Alba).

I am in Detroit. And I am planning on going to Great Lakes Crossing for the Taken promotional thingy that SciFi is putting on Saturday and Sunday. I can be there on Sunday to perform peaceful acts of protest.

Anyone else want to go? Have ideas about what to do?

Hours are:
Saturday, Oct. 12 from 10am-9pm
Sunday, Oct. 13 from 11am-6pm

It will be located in the JC Penny's parking lot

And remember, it's supposed to RAIN all weekend.:)

The TAKEN Experience went well for me. I saw that BracaFan had been there on Saturday putting fliers on cars, which security warned me was a no-no. The people working there were really nice, and I passed out about 100 fliers directly to people in the parking lot who were going in to the event. This was great for actually personally talking to people, many of whom knew what I was talking about!

My future plans include the Motor City Comic Con in Novi on November 26 And 27. Any ideas?

Where are all the other Michigan scapers out there! I thought there would be more postings of fans from the Detroit - metro area. We must not give up and we must get our ending to Farscape even if we cannot get another season. I did hear that a possible reason for Farscape's cancellation was the new Battle Star Galactica revival series. Does anyone know if that is a possibility? Why does not matter we have got to show them that we are fatihful to Farscape and that we want a conclusion. If anyone wants to talk FS or any good sci fi please feel free to write. Thanks for reading my lengthy posting and others please post and let us know you are out there and not sucked through a wormhole in some distant part of the universe looking for a way home oh there I go again. One last thing, what does everyone think about how the crew of moya ending up on earth in the 80's when Farscape returns for its second half(I read this in the T.V. guide! I hope everyone is getting the word out about Farscape the new time 8 p.m on Jan. 10, 2003!!!! I believe our last chance to save the show is to boost those ratings. I do not want the best show on t.v. to end without an ending. At this point I do not even care as much about a 5th season. If we could just get a mini-series or any kind of conclusion I would be happy. An anime series? A Farscape movie (which would NOT deal with the t.v. show)? I am sorry be these do not make me happy! I would however, enjoy a fs movie if the t.v. series concluded and I would go to see it over and over on the big screen! Lastly, when we all watch Farscape let us not give any ratings to the other two shows that follow! I think that would better get our message across!

After watching the episode (Bringing home the beacon) I really know why I love Farscape and it makes me sad that it will end without any ending! I want a conclusion more than anything and that horrible sci fi channel better give us something! Welcome Dangergirl! I do not seem to get to many replies so it is good to see someone else posting. I do not do this very often but Farscape is worth it. I can't believe it is almost over only six more episodes! Does anyone else think that chiana is pregnant by the 17yr. old Crighton? The show is getting better as they get more into the Scarran plotlines and we are not going to see the end! This is one of the times that I would like to be incredibly rich or win the lottery so I could pay all of them to finish Farscape and possible have them do 7 seasons like star trek does but without the same similar aliens and situations! Farscape is so creative it could really take us where no one has gone before. It already has but it is cut down in it's prime. Well, if anyone has a response to my post I will post back! Hope to hear from someone soon!

Welcom Ashley from Livonia! I work in Redford at the Methodist Children's Home on the weekends! We all need to watch Farscape and not any of the other show on Friday nights to make our shows ratings look better since I doubt we will get another half million fans in the last five episodes! If we can maintain the current ratings and have all the others on Fri. night go down we might get a miniseries at least so we can have the ending we want and that Farscape deserves. Nothing compares to Farscape! The acting is superior, the cast and crew are the best, the effects are excellent, the writing and directing are top notch and it always leaves you wanting more because like life (A VERY EXCITING ONE) anything can happen! Let us save our show and let the sci-fi channel rot until we get our conclusion!

Hey Everybody! Only 4 more Eps until the best show on t.v. is over as well as any more scifi channel for me! I hope they get some sense and give us a Farscape miniseries to give the fans a conclusion! I am pretty sure that most FS fans will watch the sci fi channel anyway just like they are watching sg1! Well I am not! Many of those who watch Fs watch sg1 and if they boycotted for real then it would make FS look better so in some ways the fans are making the sci fi channel think that they will not be hurt by being liars and not giving the 5th season they promised and leaving all the fans hanging in space. Frell them and all the Fs fans that watch sci fi 's other programming(especially those that have neilsen boxe. If they were true to the cause there is no way sg1 would have that high of ratings! So please do not watch sg1 and make it their best show because it it not! Farscape is so much better and we must let sci fi know before the last 4th season ep is shown!

I've been literally a mess ever since the final episode last week I swear to God. I've written multiple letters now to the SciFi execs. as well as possible networks that could feasibly pick FS up, but I have to tell you, my heart looms heavy and that sickened sinking feeling just won't go away God dammit.:(

Hey I would be happy with a miniseries and then a three movie trilogy that would make star wars look like the dark ages! Also how much longer can sg1 go? Richard D. Anderson seems older that Patrick Stewart and he only does movies not a grueling t.v. series! Well at then end of next month the complete season 2 will be for sale! It is about frelling time! I cannot believe that I have to wait a whole year between seasons! I hope everyone keeps bashing the sci-fi dren channel so we can get our mini-series ending to Farscape. It is the least they could do after lying and frelling all of us over! Hey everyone! We all need to keep getting out the word of how great FARSCAPE is and that we need to get it back. Keep on scapin' and frell the sci-fi channel to the depths of hezmana! They are all farbotz! The complete season 2 in about 30 days! I am so excited! It is a shame that we will have to wait 2 more years to have all 4 seasons! Maybe they will make the last 2 only 6 months apart, seeing as all of the 2 eps will have already been released! Fridays will never be the same and the sci-fi execs need to get sucked through a wormhole and appreciate the woders that we have seen! Hey all Scapers and KCRedcat! I live in southern oakland county in Hazel Park! I am in the middle of moving now and most all of my collection of Farscape and Star Trek Voyager, DS9, and TNG collectibles are all packed away! I am looking forward to the complete season 2 on dvd! They need to release the seasons faster! Maybe they will now because I think they have released every ep in the volume form! I wanted the whole seasons so I could keep them all together! Well I never hear much of anything about FS coming back, except all about the convention in Burbank CA! Who cares! I can not go there and most of us scapers can't so it is depressing to hear about all the FS stars that I probably will never meet. I will just have to accept that Viginia Hey will be the only one I'll ever meet in person! I got my picture with her and her autograph as well(besides just in the card sets). I really want to see the rest of the cast especially Gigi, Cladia, Raelee, and Ben! Who am I kidding if they come anywhere close I am there! We were 'sorta' in your neighborhood...or went by it last night...on our way down to the IMAX to see Matrix: Revolutions with MORE detroitscapers! the Lady from my polymer clay guild, that I 'ran into' while showing off my CON photo op pics happened to "SEE" them and asked 'if that was 'Farscape'....FRELL YES! TURNS OUT her and her DH have a BIG GROUP of people that gather every other week on Tuesday evenings in Ann Arbor to WATCH FARSCAPE! OMG! TOO FRELLING WEIRD eh? she's been in my/the guild for about a YEAR TOO! LOL shesh! we've never had the opportunity to 'talk' really, and NOT about Farscape! go figure! I went down to Tennesee for my Thanksgiving. It was really small, just my mom, step dad and me. I got all messed up because we have 6 cats in that house and I'm allergic.. and in love with them.. lol..

Anywho, it would be really cool to meetup in Plymouth one day, if it worked with a normal amount of people. The Coffee Bean is the greatest hangout place EVER!

One of our most active members is in Grand Rapids! And we've got them in Manistee and Traverse City, too. (Plus, we're a splinter group from Chicago Scapers to begin with. :) )

It is in Detroit. At the Majestic Cafe in the Majestic Theater complex right on Woodward. Guarded parking in the back of the complex is $4, and I suggest you go ahead and pay for it, then you can walk through the bowling alley, around the bar to the right, through the doors into the cafe. It is a safe neighborhood, but there are kids around who like to mess with cars on the side streets. We'll be at a table with a meetup sign.

well, Frank and I park out in FRONT...actually DOWN the block, no problems yet. it's right on Woodward and FREE. The one time I drove down with my Brand Spankin' NEW CAR (Sept) with Nancy (bracafan!) we parked over along the 'south' end of the 'block' that the Majestic is located right by the hospital, no problems at all. "WE" tend to get there in plenty of time, sometimes we either eat down that way...or at least get dessert right there while waiting...I mean HE IS THE HOST after all!:cool: btw- on the street w/ the hospital, it's also FREE! there are parking meters but after a certain time of day there is no charge. :aok: :whip:

BYTE ME!:D haven't been online MUCH in the last month at all...it's been rough around here (home) I am NOT the 'only' Scaper around anyhow:rolleyes: PLUS...we NEED MORE MI SCAPERS to get thier eema's out to the meetups PERIOD and join in the 'fun'! plus...WE have noticed that "OTHER" Scapers aren't BOTHERING to TAKE PICS...tisk tisk! :snore:

Whooop! I have no idea about the freeway thing...I was lucky enough to take my trip to downtown just before the construction started...but who knows...traffic isn't really all that bad at that time of the evening anyway.

As for shorts...that's a clothing item I never wear. I just have a...thing against shorts. Haven't worn them for years. :D

but...I DO have some cool 'news' about getting or rather MEETING another Farscape FAN!

went into a local health food store on Monday...and as I was checking out...the guy at the Register says quite ENTHUSIASTICALLY "IS THAT....FARSCAPE!?!?!?!?" I GUESS he noticed my FARSCAPE POSTCARDS that I ALWAYS keep in the front pocket of my leetle purse :D and when I said YES...why? do you know of it!?!?!? he pretty much went GAGA...and then when I told him about the UPCOMING MINI-... well...

basically...HOPEFULLY SOON...MARK, will be joining the REST of us DETROITSCAPERS! IT WAS SO AWESOME to talk to another person from my area (LAKE ORION) that's a BIG FAN! so...I gave him all FOUR postcards...the pile of bookmarks I had on me too... asked him about putting stuff in the store for people to pick up... so there's ONE place...and another SCAPER! YEAH!

Now that I think of it, I should've changed my vote to the Bean, since we're going to be in Plymouth and we could've just walked there and not have been late. But the usual hangout works well too. LOL

The benefit is that since it's the end of the school year and I couldn't care less about what time I get home and my parents are easing up *slightly*, there's no real curfew for me. I mean, come on...this'll be the last meetup with us as high-schoolers. :D

We try to get people to contact libraries in THEIR areas...I'm way out in Orion...and I've donated to Lake Orion AND Oxford Libraries... we've (:franky: the BF ) dropped by the Clarkston AKA: Independence Township one to inquire if 'they' would be interested also, the person Frank talked to "seemed" interested. but it's taking FOREVER to get the others on their shelves. I mean if they can have the SOPRANOS, they can put up FARSCAPE!!!!!!!!! and if 'WE' Donate the DVD's...ya know...they have their 'funds' still intact.
