Still desperately seeking submissions for the con books - looks pretty dismal at this stage. Just 21 days until the Con. :pace:

Come on folks - I know there are still a few of you hanging out here. PLEASE send something for the 10th Anniversary of Farscape.

I am working on David's and Jonathan's right now and I still need about 6 more submissions to make it look respectable.

It's the 10th anniversary and we were really hoping to make this a special one

If you have anything at all you'd like to send please do it now as the con is 2 weeks away and it takes a lot of work to get the submissions into the books

ok ok ok.. i KNOW this is gonna be the dumbest question ever... but what's a conbook?? :( im new to all this following Farscape like an addict business.. but I decided, it being it's 10th birthday and all that I'd jump on the bandwagon.. so here I am clueless intrigued and hopelessly obsessed.

Con books are when fans can write a little note, poetry, draw a picture as a gesture of appreciation for one of the actors on the show. Then they send the missive to the designated person for that actor and that individual puts them together in some kind of book or binder. Some of those books/binders are very impressive.

Then at the convention the actor is given the binder.

I don't know when or why the tradition started (I think it had to do with the actors filming in Australia and not having any feedback from the fans or media) but it is a really nice way to express appreciation.

I know that both Ben and Fran love their books and spend time sitting on the couch going through them together.

There are rules (of course). Nothing lewd or otherwise inappropriate, a manageable size (to fit in the binder) and length (don't write a book) and deadlines to meet.

yeh, thanks for replying! that's a realy nice idea too..so you do it like every year? that's pretty cool. I was there was some con on near me sometime.. :( ah well. maybe ill start my own! ha.
