Hi folks.
If you're in Oz, please consider attending the Global Farscape Rally in Sydney. I won't be lucky enough to attend myself, but there's people coming from all over Australia, trying to gain media attention. Triple J will be covering it, for sure, and there's interest expressed from other media sources as well.

OK, lets rallyA 5th for Farscape
OK everyone, its time to show the world what we are made of. Lets unite in the global 5th for Farscape Rally. I have volunteered to run a get together in Sydney, but we need volunteers in every other state as well. Lets show the world that we want our Farscape as well. OK...no idea what I am talking about. Well, let me explain.
Since the Sci-Fi Channel announced it was not going to follow through with its promise of a fifth season of Farscape, many of us have been fighting tooth and nail to get them to reverse the decision, or to find another network interested in picking it up. Now, while we here in Australia don't count much to the American market, I mean, we will not be wathcing their cable company and spending money on their advertised product, we can still show our support for a locally made product. Keep in mind, 400+ people will lose thier jobs at Homebush if the show does not go ahead. It's not just about us enjoying a top rate show, its about fellow aussies joining the dole line. We need to show these people that we care, that we feel for them, and that we are doing everything we can to help.
On Satuday, the 5th of October, Scapers worldwide will be meeting to unite in a global rally titled, A fifth for Farscape, refering both to the date, and to the fact we wwant a fifth season. Where possible, we are aiming to get media coverage. Bring banners, wear your Farscape shirts.
Sydneysiders, we will be meeting at Maroubra Beach at 12noon. This is not like TaScape, we will not be having any events or such organised. Bring your own food or drinks, or buy some from the local shops. We are merely gathering to show our support. We will be approaching the local news networks to see if they wish to cover the event, and we will be inviting the cast and crew to join us, however, I do not know if they will be able to attend.
We need other states to get involved as well. Lets show the world that the aussies and the FAM are a force to be reckoned with. I will get you some more information as it comes to hand, but for now, set aside the afternoon of the 5th of October. After the rally, it will be drinks at The Sands Hotel. Look forward to seeing you all there
