I know, I know, you're all triumphant and exhausted. Rock on, folks, you all did a fantastic job.
If you haven't posted a report here already, please do sometime today or tomorrow, at least letting everybody know the number of people who showed up. I know for myself, it's a great spirit-lifter to hear about the great turnout.

I forced my tired, achey, sunburnt body to stop complaining long enough to compose a report on the New York City rally, and have sent it in to the "newsroom" address for inclusion alongside the Sydney, London, and Hollywood rally reports. I would post it on this forum as well, but it may be a touch too long to fit here. Yes, even with my aches and pains I can't stop myself running off at the mouth...
fialka, in addition to the LA report, since you want to know the #, we had 13

You're welcome to be long-winded, Rabensam <g>. If not, can you just post the number of attendees?

fialka, i've just e-mailed you a copy of the same rally report i sent to the newsroom address...and to a half dozen other people who've asked...
Two people were keeping lists of our attendees, but I haven't checked with either one yet -- I believe we had at least 40 in attendance, possibly more than that. In addition, I know of at least six people who were determined to be there but ultimately couldn't make it (including two of the rally organizers!) so it was only random misfortune that kept us from exceeding 50 people.
The distribution of flyers went SO well that some of us are seriously considering a repeat performance at the world-famous Halloween parade in Greenwich Village...

Ooh, I've been to that. It would be a *fantastic* idea.

When everyone's checked in somewhere, can we get a total on global participants? I'd love to know, personally.

These are picked up off the various reports filed -- still quite a few cities missing, so if yours isn't here, feel free to add it (or make corrections if your number is wrong). I haven't included numbers for Atlanta, since that was a special event, but attendees at The Chamber were between 800-1000, according to NebariNixar's post in the Atlanta thread.
Baghram - 15

Not to undercut the DC numbers, but I like being accurate. We actually had 73 people check in with me. Still a really respectable turn out though :)
So far I haven't seen anything on the San Fransico rally and I know we had at least 35 people that day! It was a great group and we had fun getting to know one another. There was a TV monitor displaying episodes, lots of great signs and flyers.Although it was a bit quiet due to the world series play offs in SF, my son and I enjoyed it. And although we were lacking in crowds that day at the Embarcadero we managed to hand out flyers ( a women named Nancy was a determined pro at it!) and finished handing out flyers on our Bart ride home and my son took some extra for his office. Thanks to Steve Palmer for organizing it and making it happen and to everyone else attending that day who bought the tables, flyers, signs, water,TV episodes and positive Save Farscape attitude!
