The simple ones:
The Nitty Gritty:
All you gotta do to play, besides having an unhealthy appetite for Farscape Trivia, is follow the fairly generalized guidelines that follow.
To play... click into the game and read the final trivia question posted. If you know the answer... great! Give it!
BUT... and here's the tricky part... if you give an answer, you GOTTA post a NEW question to replace the question answered.
This is where our little game get's it's name!
Follow me so far?
Okay then... the next person answers the last person's question... and then THEY post a NEW question to replace the one answered! And on and on and on… Got it? (omg! I just heard Chiana in my head!)
So, basically, all you do is read the posted question(s) in order. If you know the answer, and want to give it, you have to give the answer AND add a NEW trivia question yourself! ohhh, the challenge!

There is also an explanation for how the questions are scored, in this thread (http://www.watchfarscape.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=4567). You might want to take a look at that, as well.

I'd usually post this in a site feedback and bug report forum but there are none so ...
Maybe I'm missing something but shouldn't the title of this forum be chainmail rather than chainmale - as in mail = post not male as in man ?
Just curious as the way it is atm Chainmale Trivia doesn't make much sense to me.

Hello, Cadros!
Actually, Chainmale Trivia was started by JohnsKeedvaBBQ (you'll note she's a moderator for this area). The legacy of her running it can be found on her website here:
http://www.johnskeedvabbq.com/CMT/chainmaletrivia.html
That was back on the SciFi bboard before we had this wonderful forum and this unfortunate cause.
A link to the very first game of CMT: http://bboard.scifi.com/bboard/browse.cgi/1/5/2153/36733?
She, being the originator, chose the spelling. And whether or not it was a mistake or conscious puny witicism at the beginning, JKBBQ knows that the metal link armor is spelled "Chainmail" but she still chooses to call this game "Chainmale".
Thus it is only misspelled if the name actually means anything other than what it is, and not if that's just the proper name. Sort of like if someone has the name "Willyam" it's not an incorrect spelling of William if their name really is Wiilyam.
Good question, and feel free to join in the game next time it's going! That's the kind of attention to detail JKBBQ would be proud to find in her trivia players.

Interesting. Maybe I am being somewhat semantic on such a trivial matter but it still doesn't make sense :D I had half expected an obscure reference to Farscape as an answer.
What I was refering to in my original post chainmail is the common popular meaning to mail as in
Materials, such as letters and packages, handled in a postal system, including mechanical and electronical
Postal material for a specific person or organization.
as in a post or reply to a thread and/or topic.
When linked or connected in any common topic/matter it becomes a chain letter or chainmail as in:
A thread with a series of posts and replies common to and connected with the original topic post - a chainmail thread.
The reference to chainmail being armor, although as another meaning to it, is not what I was refering to or thought had anything to do with it which is a bit surprising :) I don't see what the relevance of armor would have in this issue and as you've rightly pointed out:
JKBBQ knows that the metal link armor is spelled "Chainmail" but she still chooses to call this game "Chainmale".
which makes perfect sense but for one thing, the word chainmail has two meanings, neglecting the armor meaning, it is still the correct way to spell it, calling it chainmale still makes no sense.
I must totally disagree with your defination also, yes, Willyam and William are variations of the same sounding name so obviously no arguement there, but, mail and male are not and can never mean the same thing. I send some one email not emale, etc, I'd find it incredibly difficult to believe that chainmale is supposed to mean chainmail unless there was a simple mistake in the spelling or as a reference to something else - not this trivia game - I was just curious as to why this forum was called chainmale and I've browsed thru the links provided and all I saw was a typical mistake in the spelling of chainmail which has been replicated and was obvious from the jump between the two:
September 8, 2001: Well, geez, hasn't been too long since the last update! LOL. CHAINMAIL TRIVIA: ROUND 4- "Crichton Strikes Back!" kicks off on Wednesday, September 12, 2001. Updates to this page and the index page coming soon!
I'm just beginning to think that JohnsKeedvaBBQ, has made a slight mistake as I have done a few times, that has been replicated and hasn't been rectified or pointed out as a mistake yet - unless there's a more interesting story behind why its called chainmale then I believe its just a mistake and should be chainmail althou I could dream up loose answers to why the forum is (or needs to be) called chainmale I just wanted to find the real answer ;)
I sure hope this all doesn't come across as harsh - its just as a writer - I like word games and when something doesn't make sense I start asking questions and thanks for the links they made all for an good read :aok:
cheers.

They do not get a point, however the new question can still be answered for a point by someone else.
Jury is out on when the next game is. I'll post soon with a time.

You can look it up. Some of the more challenging and fun questions are completely random facts gleened from the neglacted corners of trivia-dom. Of course, YOU need to know the answers to your own questions so that you can say if they were answered correctly.
