Big NY convention in November?

Can anybody give me the info for this? I know there's a website out there ... is it creation con? I'm new to this convention thing but I'd love to go.

That's the convention I am going to in New York, anyway. Why, are you thinking of coming to that convention?

It would be great if you could go. :) I've never been to a convention before either, but this one sounds fun. (I am also going to the Boston SFX convention the weekend before, because I live in Boston, and it seems like a sin to miss the opportunity to go to a Farscape convention in my own city ;) )

There is a thread on the Kansas board where people who are planning to go to the Creation Con in NY sign in and tell other people that they are going. I doubt everybody who is planning on going has signed in, but there are at least a few people there.

If you do decide to go, would you like a roommate? I have already reserved a room at the hotel for that Friday evening - Sunday morning, and I plan to go whether I find a roommate or not, but it would be great to find someone to share the cost of the room with. I did find another girl who was interested in sharing the room, but she wasn't sure if she could go, and she said she wouldn't mind sleeping on the floor if she does go, so we can have three people in the room, if we wanted to...

I'll be there too. I'm coming to NYC for Thanksgiving with my non-scaper (so far!) friend and she's graciously allowing me to ditch her for two days so I can go drool over my heroes.

i SHOULD be able to go. i haven't bought my tickets yet because i'm still waiting to find out if work will give me those days off, but my supe told me today it shouldn't be a problem.

anyway, i'll be driving in from Buffalo, and i've never been to NYC before. i'm TERRIFIED! lol

i want someone to carpool with, but i'd also be willing to be a roomie/crash on the floor in someone's hotel room to pitch in on the room cost.

so keep me in mind, guys! ;o)

i'll check back here and let you all know when i find out for sure if i'm going.

I'm hoping to go to NYC as well. Have no idea how I'm going to get there yet but I'm hoping to cage a lift from someone as well...

Yeah, I am going to the Creation Con this year. This is my first Creation Con. Like one of you said it would be ashame to miss it since it's in my home city. But this is not my first Con. I also went to Scapercon too. And I am also looking for one or two more roommates for the con. I have two roommates already. And I'm looking for a NON-smoking female.

Sadly, my attendance is still way too uncertain for me to book rooms. I have this problem, which is that the convention is a mere four days prior to a very large and important presentation that I have to give for school :( . Culmination of 9 months of research, last leg in the PhD qualifying circuit, that kind of thing. Ugh, bad bad bad timing.

(That said, I'm still working on my Aeryn costume. )
