Hi guys! Hope you don't mind me dropping in like this, but I've got a new fan who had watched a bit of S1, and then nothing until the 12/24 marathon. But she's hooked now and is trying desperately to hook up with tapes from the first 3 seasons. She lives in West Palm Beach. Can anyone help her?

I'm here in Orlando and have have alot of success with putting some Save Farscape posters in my car, lots of people ask what those are and i always catch someone reading them. I might be able to go to Megacon but dont know yet.

Anyone interested in Meetup (Farscape.meetup.com)? Even if cancelled for Mar 5th, Look for mini-bulletin board under "Attendees" in your area. Alernative day post may have been suggested, or look for my post at Scifi.com/Farscape. Each month 5 Scapers need to AGAIN select venue and 5 need to CONFIRM that they can come else will cancel. (You can suggest own idea for venue-don't have to use theirs.)

Anyone going to meetup? Advertising pays, so I'm putting up a Reminder. I'm hoping to see the Jacksonville Meetup a "Go" this time, (though I may travel if cancels). .. =)

According to my cancellation email for last month, looks like Tuesday the week prior to Meetup is when need to select a venue (part 1). They'll then send an e-mail asking for RSVP when they tally the venues to see what choosen. Unless 5 do both, it cancels.

You are definitely not alone! We've got a Broward/Palm Beach county group and its growing each month. We usually meet on Sunday afternoons at a Starbuck's in Coral Springs or Boca, and at the May meetup there were 9 of us. June's meeting is on the 29th in Boca, so maybe you'd like to join us? We really are a fun bunch :aok:

I'm JAX, too. Another day to meetup is fine with me, if still interested. Have met on a Tuesday and a Friday. Didn't have meeting last two times, but see more have signed on. One scaper was also available for Mon-Wed evenings (in the past). I'm thinking of putting the S/S Blvd location in for my selection, as see some driving clear from St Augustine. We can also discuss (days and venue) over on Meetup's mini-bulletin board if others signed up don't come to SaveFarscape. Still can access if cancels to make alternative arrangements..

Orlando-Hallw'n Horror Nites for Rally?

Halloween Horror Nights, what's that like? Does everyone/ anyone going there wear costumes? (As in Farscape?) Or is it just businesses costumed to promote the attractions.

Wouldn't it be nice to do a Hall'y Rally a la Farscape in Hollywood last year? Someone brought this up at Meetup but none of us have ever been. It's 2 1/2 hrs from JAX.

Tourism folks say it's supposed to go on at least every weekend in October. If so, I wish I could go, but until I change jobs I'll be working 11-7 every Friday and Saturday. But I can help with it.

Just a short post to state I too am a FarScape Fan in Florida (St. Petersburg) and only subscribe to cable to watch FarScape, even though midnite on Sunday is abit much...it's hard to function when I need to be at work by 6:30am!!
Does anyone know where I can get the complete 3rd season on DVD for this region?

Best Buy is selling 3.5 on October 7 I believe. That is what their web site says, but the Best Buy on Tyrone Blvd always puts it on the shelves earlier sometimes almost a week early. I get all of my Farscape DVDs from Best Buy. They are the cheapest store.

Well, just found out that Meetup was cancelled. I posted a poll on my board to discuss what is the best time and date for FL scapers for meet. If ANY FL scaper is reding this; it is for all of us. Out of 15 FL Farscape meetups, ALL of them were cancelled this month.

Jacksonville Meeting-up? Not too late, NEW MU: it works w/ you

Voting STILL open, although only 3 so far and venue selected. They don't close now til after RSVP according to their new policy. They also encourage you to have an unofficial one if there aren't the 5 (they just think with 5, better odds for number showing up). And offer their BB for it. Maybe just the ticket for getting involved some procrastinators and those who found out late. So may want to check Meetup's BB, looks like they're trying to to get with the program. :-)

Don't know when have to have your RSVP in, last time I tracked it was 6 pm on Friday.

The venue is Borders Bookstore: has coffee shop (sandwiches, to I think). --Also, I sent e-mails to 2 in Jax late Wed who did Meetup in past. We"ll see if those mailboxes still work.

I can't go to Escapade, but this Jacksonville (NE Florida) event I hope to do. It would have been nice to get Meetup going here for this reason, but doesn't look good. At least, I'd like to maybe walk around and Scape'em with handouts on Sunday. -- There is even a river festival with 11 Tall Ships next door.

They advertised that this is their first con. Though it's called DreamCon, the name was adopted when other group abandoned name in 1999. To make it easy, here's some details:
-- "will be a multi-genre hotel based convention, including topics such as Scifi, Fantasy, Gaming, Horror, Anime, Comic Books, Music, Toys and much, much more..

In other News: Eleven tall ships have the right idea. They're having a MEETUP then, of a sort. Why do I mention ships with DreamCon? Well, the closest ships will probably be only 1-2 blocks from the Con that weekend. It's part of SailJacksonville river festival.

Still trying to convince someone to come on the trip with you? Throw in St. Augustine, it's only 35 miles by interstate. "11 miles of wide beaches and the rest is History" -- The ancient fort is downtown, lighthouse nearby, carriage rides... Can you tell I love that place?

Found a public place to play DVDs on Sundays, Docking Station near Regency Mall. May do this on July 18th or 25th, possibly 1-3. Then maybe every other weekend if there is an interest. Please respond on this thread. I'm going to leave my porchlight over on Scifi (but that BB offline after 13th), and message at meetup (under members).

This place is a cybercafe with easy chairs, large screen TV (for our use, free-of-charge). They have Coffees, sandwiches and deserts, too.

Well, survived two hurricanes, and have been happily viewing the miniseries over and over the last few days on my PC.

Hi Ajarscape,

Superstation WGN will carry it if that helps, as many cable companies have it. But I don't have Cape Coral information, I just found these cities mentioned on the BB.. Jul hopes to have a list by the time it's on the air. But you may be able to find out sooner, if you email stations in your viewing area. A research list to help with station urs. These aren't Farscape's (no idea if they will have FS) but just about all of the country's stations. They're listed by states>city>stations with their urls here. See reply #2.

Jacksonville Meetup

Anyone want to get together? Can we afford the $19/mo for Meetup? I considered paying for a trial run, but don't want suckered by MU for more, if they screw-up. I'm going to see if can do a thread on FloridaFarscape.com, if it's active. Meetup says they'll disband Jacksonville after Sept 8th if no response. I'll be watching this thread. Currently, can also access and place mini-note as part of your profile at Farscape.Meetup.com ( I just did). However, the BB there is closed unless an organizer comes forward.
