Hi all. I am a CGI artist in training, next year I'm going to university to study advanced computer animation, modelling and effects, and as part of my training I make things from various sci-fi series seeing as Sci-fi is my favourite genre.
Recently I have been concentrating on the ships of Farscape, which are both ingenious and beautiful. As you here are all Farscape fans, I thought that you would like to see them :)
All of these are works in progress, none of them textured yet and none of them complete. I have made these from memory, and a few tiny screencaps, so I dont think ive done too badly! When these are complete I can do animations and renders with them.

Transport Pod. This is probably my most complete, I have just the landing gear to go, and as the last picture shows, I have already started on it. 29504 polygons at the moment. Click on the images to view larger versions.

Talyn, I've only done the basic shape of this one for now, I will add details later on. 15596 polygons.

And finally, the Peacekeeper Command Carrier. This is certainly the one I am most proud of! Just the engine section and little details to go really. At a staggering 172637 polygons, this is my most detailed work to date too!

I hope that you like them :)

(so one CAN rebuild a ship from memory!!) ;)

Go ahead! Please don`t forget to show them to me when you`ve textured them.
(and don`t forget the formidable vessel of Staanz!)

Really! Couple years ago I had to commission 3D models for some multimedia projects so I know the amount of work that goes into this - these look very good - can't wait to see the final renderings!

BTW - Didn't realize I could enlarge the images you posted by clicking on them!

Gosh! Check out that Command Carrier. Looks fantastic.

What program are you using, Meurig?

I think you're about ready to skip uni. Go straight on to the workforce. I've seen uni 3D projects that aren't 1/10th as good as this.

All done in Lightwave 3D 7.0.
A little update on the transport pod.

There great Meurig47, you done really justice too them. You brought out the beauty of the Command Carrier. But I wonder if you could make it a little more print friendly has it too big for my printer to handle. It just prints a part of them and I really to are one that I could put behind my Farscape figures .

Can not wait till to see them when they been textured them.

Don't you have a paint app to reduce them in?
Or even better, import the image into MS Word and stretch it until it fits the page :)

I like them a lot Meurig. Do you have plans on doing the Farscape 1 module, prowlers and other vehicles in the near future?

I have started a prowler, but somone else has already finished one, its a bit innacurate though. A good Farscape 1 module is finished too.

Hey, Meurig47: nice work (especially on the Carrier)! And just to let you know, someone else on the boards is looking for a little help in the 3D model department. Check this out:

Very cool work. I've never used lightwave, but it looks like a nice and powerful program.
