I'm looking for Scapers in Colorado. In the Denver/Boulder area or the Colorado Springs area. Besides that of my family and family friends I don't know ANYONE in Colorado who watches. Any takers?

I'm in the Springs. I trek over to my brothers friends house on Friday to see the show. He's a nerd that spoils himself with things like an automatic litter box. Just a little note, hehe! Gotta love it, our names kinda match.

Man, I miss Colorado. I'm from Littleton but I had to go and move to SoCal last year. :P

Red,l if you know anyone still hanging out in Colorado that watches Farscape than let me know! It'd be nice to know I'm not completely isolated.

I don't know anybody in Colorado who watches Farscape, unfortunately. I didn't actually start watching until I moved to California and my roommate was a fan of the show.

But, hey, you might want to check ou this site if you haven't yet. I did notice a CO name or two on the list -

Finally a chance to get around to checking the boards...

I'm in Denver, and catch Farscape whenver it's on. Preordered and picked up the Season 1 DVD collection. I know one other co-worker who watches, and have used the DVDs to pull a couple more in.

ShaneVG,
I'm planning on going to the midnight showing of two towers in Westminister. You interested in handing flyers out with me?

>I'm planning on going to the midnight showing of two towers in Westminister.<

Are they going to have a showing on Wednesday morning? I see a listing for one on Aurora - of course, I doubt these listings are complete. Or were you thinking Wednesday night?

Let me know, and I can help!

They haven't listed it. You can only get tickets by calling or showing up at the door. Even internet tickets don't work. Its a VIP showing so you have to make a personal request.

Sounds good. I see your profile says that you have AOL AIM, so drop me a line and we can figure out the details. My nick over there is "ShaneVG".

Cuendillar, I have to apologize.

Unfortunately, I was stuck in traffic for an hour (at 10 PM at night?!). Nice of C-DOT not to put up any signage that the highway was closed.

I was looking forward to meeting you in person, and hopefully making some new Farscape fans.

By the time I had arrived at the theater, everyone was inside. I hung around for a bit, but it seemed rather pointless.

Anyone in the Denver area need a bunch of fliers?

Don't worry about it.

I waited just inside the theater til about 11:15pm. You missed a good show (In my opinion. My friend was disappointed.)

In any case I was able to talk to a few people about the show. I think I sparked some interest in a few people: atleast enough for them to check out savefarscape.com. Hopefully I got a few recruits.

I'm in Aurora, I know very few other Farscape fans in Colorado personally. I know them all from work. I have been telling everyone to watch the show, and some do. Those that have, liked it. I spoke to one person who has been watching from day one, she had no idea that Farscape was on it's last DRD. She was visibly upset.

Keep watching

At least we're making a difference in the vast area of Colorado, full of non-nerds. Thanks for posting.

Hey Rich,

Welcome aboard. Nice to see there's another Farscape soul around here. Who knows, if we keep going, we might manage to get a few more...!

Hey Cuendillar,

I am not from Colorado, but your screen name made me think of something I hadn't thought of before. I have seen quite a few postings from people using Wheel of Time names (yours, Avendesora, FarDariasMai and others). Do you know if there are any major discussion boards for WoT, and if so, has an appeal been made to these fans to watch Farscape? There seems to be some crossover so I thought it might be something worth looking into.

Cuen,

I haven't checked this board in some time, so sorry for the late chime in.

I'm in Colorado too, DTC area. I know about a dozen fans in CO, most are armchair watchers, with only one other besides myself being passionate enough to actually get in the game.

It took me sending an email out to everyone in my address list to find out that some of my associates were scapers. I honestly hadn't expected so many. After that I hosted a 'Best of Season 1' DVD watching party, which I think turned another 4-5 people onto Farscape.

So, yes there are others here in Colorado. Just not many that are active in the campaign.

I think a WoT crossover party with Farscape would be ggreat, except for the fact that all of the WoT fans I know except two are Farcsape fans already! I'll start focusing on these two.

Wow! I have a fan club! Everyone wants to talk to me! :aok:

As far as I know no one has approached the WoTists with Farscape. I generally dont go to the WoT boards. Plus, I still have about 100 pages left in Crossroads of Twilight and I hate spoilers. My brother monitors them but never posts. He just lurks. Hes an extremely shy person. :D . In anycase, I'll email him and ask for the URLs to the wot boards and post them as soon as I have them.

I'm thinking of having a farscape party up in Boulder for the finale. Would anyone be interested in coming? Ask around. I think it'd be kinda fun to have a party with a bunch of strangers. It might prove to be a very interesting night... Afterall, what else do you have to do on a friday night at 6pm?

Well I'll be around more often. Sorry it took so long to get back to the board. I decided I was sick of running across spoilers by accident so stopped going to the discussion board. I'll stop by "colorado" more often.

Those in the Springs should just pile into a van and trek on up. Might not make it in time for the early show, but you should get there in time for the late one!

Planning on being there as well...

There aren't enough of us in the Springs to bother with a van. A Saturn would do just fine....let's see...Jenn, Matt, Tom and me...yup...we'll all fit.
