I've gotten some questions about the Beyond Hope fund and how the money breaks down. I decided to do a spreadsheet to make it easier to understand.

The Beyond Hope fund is managed by two separate groups. The first donations were contributed under the auspices of SaveFarscape.com and were designated for projects in development by SFS.com. The projects are:

The Guerilla Radio Project - FS radio promo; air dates Jan 6-10
Media Kits - press and media information
Convention Kit - traveling kit of display items for conventions

The fund stopped adding monies to these projects as of 11:59 PM, October 20. SFS.com has a total of $8890.73 to cover the costs of the projects in process.

The FWA took over the Beyond Hope fund at 12:00 AM, October 21. All new funds collected from that date forward are administered by the FWA.

The following spreadsheet will hopefully make the collected monies and current expenditures a little more clear. If you have any questions, please feel free to email me at deneba@attbi.com.

Deneba, perhaps you should post that spreadsheet and/or a link to this thread, on the Fund Updates page.

I also was VERY confused by the two totals.

Otherwise, without the explination you just gave, it gives the erronous appearance that a bunch of the monies went 'poof' in the night, without what you just posted.

It's also could be why your donations slipped, because of that misunderstanding.

Good idea. I'll do that. I've written about it, but it may be that people didn't read the article, or that they just didn't remember how it worked. The article is here: http://www.watchfarscape.com/news/article.php?newsid=124
