I hope this is the right place to post this. :)
I just got the first post-cancellation edition of the Farscape magazine. I haven't read it all - in fact all I've read was the news item and DK's column. But there were just a few moments in that column I felt ought to be posted:
"I've been to Farscape conventions; chatted on-line;talked to many; called some on the phone; answered letters; and gotten to know many of you, our fans. But I have to ask: Who the Hell are you? Where did you come from? Why are you so passionate? And how did you get so smart?
I always knew we had a following but seem to have misjudged the depth of your commitment....And if I'VE underestimated your passion, what must a little cable channel's offices in New York be feeling right about now? Perhaps Oops?"
"You the fans have so given all of us a charge. Your enthusiasm and dedication have lifted our spirits out of depression. Your love for Farscape clearly mirrors ours, and for that we are grateful and thankful. I personally have received so many nice letters I've started a scrapbook. Anyone who knows me will tell you that is not normally "me".
You guys are the missing link in our extended Farscape family. There wasn't enough room on stage that last day for all of you to be there but you really should have been. and you'd have been welcome."
There was more stuff equally worth repeating about the last day and the team's efforts to stay together but I don't have time to type it out now. I'll be back with more later.
Jess P. torn between :( and :)
