View Full Version : Volunteers for the Burbank Con

we have an info table at the con in Burbank and i'm looking for folks to help staff it. i'd like as many people as possible because then i can break the schedule up into smaller bits of time, so the volunteers can get back to the business of having fun. :D whoever works the table must be a ticketed attendee, so unfortunately that rules out bringing a friend/spouse with that doesn't have a day pass. the table is to get the word out about the campaign. we'll have brochures printed up to hand out that has the reader's digest info and places to go on the web.

if you're interested in helping us get the word out to your fellow 'Scapers who may not be 'net connected, post a note here, or you can pm me.


a note about NY... we also have a table for the con in NY, so if you can help there, shout out.

but this is my first con. I'm not sure how the cons are actually run and I'd hate to miss the actors bits, ect. Are the tables running during the whole noon to six time frame? I'd love to help out for about an hour but I don't want to miss anything (Sheesh, that sounds really selfish after what you folks have been doing).

Let's put it this way. I don't want to do it on Friday since I'll be getting my Con legs, as it were. I really don't want to do it during any actor's (or Mannings) big stage time. Other than that, I'll be happy to help out for an hour on Saturday or Sunday (and I might rope my fiance {he has a ticket too} into helping me out) as you need me, but would like to know if I'll be able to see anything from the table.

i don't know where the table's going to be. i don't know the set up of the con. typically, tables are set up in the dealer's room, which is an area separate from the rooms holding events. from Creation's schedule, it looks like all events will be held in the same room.

if you want to take a look at the schedule that Creation has posted on their site, and then pick an hour that works for you, lemme know. and if you know of anybody else that would be willing to help, let me know that too.
