OK, 'Scapers. I'm recruiting foot soldiers to do some legwork to support the Guerilla Radio Campaign. Back in October, we received word from Blockbuster Video that all corporate stores had been issued copies of the Best of Season One box set when it was released earlier this year. This project is a follow-up on that information.

Who am I looking for: Individuals in each of the 20 cities targeted by by the initiative (see below)
Mission: Research Farscape DVD availability at Blockbuster Video stores
Phase I: Locate corporate Blockbuster Video stores in broadcast range of participating radio stations
Phase II: Conduct unofficial inventory of Farscape DVDs in each store
Phase III: Compile data from all 20 cities
Phase IV: Present data to Blockbuster Video
Objective: Blockbuster's restocking of lost or damaged disks

If you would like to volunteer, please email me at dalantmm@hotmail.com and I will give you more details about Phase I. If you have questions, please post them here so everyone can read the answers. Here's a list of the 20 targeted cities:
New York
Los Angeles
Chicago
Philadelphia
San Francisco-Oakland-San Jose
Boston
Dallas-Ft. Worth
Washington, DC
Atlanta
Detroit
Houston
Seattle-Tacoma
Tampa-St. Pete
Minneapolis-St. Paul
Cleveland-Akron
Phoenix
Miami-Ft. Lauderdale
Denver
Sacramento

dalantmm- how can we find out which ones are franchises and which ones are corporate? Is there someplace we can find out?

I tried searching on blockbuster.com, but both types of stores came up on the search. So Phase I will involve making a list of ALL Blockbuster stores within a certain area, and then narrowing that list down by eliminating the franchises by calling each store and asking "Is this Blockbuster a franchise or is it part of the Blockbuster corporation?"

But the first step is determining a search area. I'm waiting to hear from Feldman re: radio station specifics. Some of the larger cities will probably require a team of individuals to cover the whole area, splitting the city into manageable sections. When I searched New York City, I found over 175 stores within a 30 mile radius, if the search engine is to be believed.
