Thanks ||Scorpius||. I couldn't have come with that name myself. I Love it.:aok: And thanks Dutch for pinning this.
Here is what I'll need to know to make your sign.
1. What type of sign material you would like. Choices are removable static cling for inside of glass, perforated window film for outside of glass, and WRV (vinyl) for exterior body parts. The cars, not yours :) Check the pics below for examples.
2. An idea of what images you would like. Are you leaning towards using a predone one like ||Scorpius|| is doing for us, an image you've seen on a site somewhere, or do you have specific ideas about what you want. Also let me know if you would like addition text beyond what may already be on the image.
3. I'll need dimensions*. For decals smaller than the part you're putting it on, I'll just need the dimension for the image. For decals that will cover an entire window(s), I'll need the overall dimensions of the window(s). For body parts, email me the year and model of your ride, and where you want covered, and I'll let you know what info I'll need.
4. If you have a specific budget, let me know and I'll work with you to get the most for your $$.
Once I have all these, then I can get you a price quote, and we can get going.
*There seems to be some confusion about size :ewink:, so let me try to clarify. There is no practical limit on the size of the image. The sizes posted are for examples. The material comes in 36" wide rolls, so the max height of a single image can be 35.5". The other dimension can be almost any length. The image sizes ||Scorpius|| mentions, are sizes of the graphics. I can shrink or blow them up as necessary, as well as add a star border to change the overall ratio a little. Bottom line, I'll make just about anything you need.
A word of caution for those thinking about covering body parts. It is not something I'd recommend doing solo. At least 2 people would be needed to do a good job. I compare applying the decals to applying wallpaper or window tint film. If you've done either, then you're well on your way. I mention this not to discourage anyone, but to make sure you know what you're getting into.
You'll only need simple tools, which are essentially the same for all three types of material. A SHARP razor blade, a spray bottle, a squeegee, and possibly some low-tack tape like painters tape.
The instructions for installing the perforated film (http://home.attbi.com/~areinhardt/CarWraps/) are here. Thanks to Tiriel for offering to host it.;)

Although ||Scorpius|| designed those nine posters specifically for this project (notice they're more rectangular?) you may use any artwork you like. He has other Save Farscape posters with text here http://scorpius-farscape.tv/master/graphics2.html
Some examples. This car is not yet done. I'll post more pix when available.
BODY WRAP AND PERFORATED WINDOW FILM

STATIC CLING VS PERFORATED FILM
Keep in mind, I'll post pix of the "New & Improved" static cling soon.
The pictures are obviously from outside and inside. Sorry about the dirty windshield. Didn't look so bad till the light hit it.
The top ad is the static cling, the bottom one is the perforated film. (Ignore the backwards text). The perforated film is more transparent from inside than shows in the pic.
I would definately recommend the perforated film for all window ads unless you have to be able to remove and replace the ad.

can't we get smaller ones, and give them to ppl in the streets to put in there car windows?... would do more good than the newspaper ad... and maybe alot cheeper, and if we give them away there is no copyright stuff, so would look much nicer than we could do with the newspaper one

i imagine one would find out by going to the website for the transit authority in one's area. for example, on the bus & train page on the Niagara Frontier Transit Authority's website (www.nfta.com), i found the following info....
Interested in advertising on
Metro Bus & Rail? Contact:

their website says they service Buffalo, Rochester, & Syracuse but doesn't give any prices.

The problem with paying someone to run ads is that you've got to deal with the copyright laws. I'd be shocked if any would runs ads using images from the show. As much as we may be doing Sci-Fi a favor by promoting their network, I don't think they'd appreciate us doing 'ALL' thier advertizing for them. :ewink:
LadyCrais
12-12-2002, 09:02 AM
I looked into the pricing for our own Metro system in Nashville last night, and it was very reasonable for some of the ads like benches. The full bus ads ran to several thousand a month down to $12 a month for an ad inside the buses. Those are per bus prices. Like GuyRicardo says, it's all in the copywrite situation and whether or not we could come up with something good enough to catch people's attention without getting into the copywrite issue. I THOUGHT that the font was okay to use, but in one of the reports I've read on here (the cookbooks, I think) they said they paid for the rights to use the font.
In any event, just text, with AT LEAST Farscape in the font, on a back scene of a wormhole might be sufficient to pass muster and still be eye-catching enough to warrent trying to go for the public transit options.
BTW, I did get your note GR. Has anyone come up with a banner design for the cars? I've had zero time or money to think about this lately.
guyricardo
12-12-2002, 02:52 PM
I assume by banner you mean a design to run down the side of the car like the example on the first page.
The example was custom designed based on the owners ideas. The rear will probably have one of the crew collages on the windshield and some additional artwork on the trunk, and the other side will have a more space oriented collage, with Moya and wormholes and aliens.
If enough people are interested in plastering thier cars with a specific banner, then I can design one. Now that I think about it, the special Car Ad designs would look pretty good on the side of a car as well.
If some one wanted to put something smaller on just a door, then any of ||Scorpius|| ads or any other high resolution images would work.
pyanfar
12-12-2002, 05:07 PM
oh yeah, i wasn't even thinking about the copywrite stuff. doh!
and i could have sworn i read somewhere that fonts are not copywritable? what about a ratscape poster? or just a starscape with some quotes praising the show and the watchfarscape website addy? stuff like that?
hey, was nice ta meetcha in NYC guyricardo!

LadyCrais

Actually I was thinking of the original discussion of half height rear windshield. Can't remember if we talked about 12 or 18 inches. I suppose you could do car length if enough people were interested to warrent cutting the stock that way. The concern with that one is the technique of going over the door breaks.
I'm really just looking for a way to get at least one of offerings in the $25-30 range or even lower if that's possible to limit the number of people that might be inhibited by costs. It's been awhile since I looked at the spreadsheet, so maybe it's already there.
And of course if there was a way to come up with a non-infringing one, to use it on public transport.
ElectricLandlady
12-12-2002, 09:58 PM
For the non-infringing ones, why not reuse/adapt some of the ads used for the banner ad project?
http://www.watchfarscape.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=5665
They're great, really eyecatching, and non-copyrighted. ;-)
guyricardo
12-13-2002, 12:17 AM
Those banners are really cool.
They may not be copyrighted, but the name Sci-Fi is. Pretty safe bet that as soon as you give the transit people a copy of the ad, they'll back out if you don't represent Skiffy and have their permission.
Think i'll stick to wallpapering cars. :D
Speaking of which:
LadyCrais, the wrap material is 36" wide. If I use ||S||'s new ads, then it would be 18"x36". That will be in the price range you mentioned.

You can't be serious!! "Sci-Fi" is copyrighted?? No frellin' way! Their logo yes! The word?? Will one of our lawyers please step into the fray here and let me know! Can I substitute "the science fiction channel"? And will you please step in and explain this dren on the font!

Huh? I thought ||S||'s (did you have to make it so bloody hard to write your name ||Scorpius||??) were blowing up much deeper than 18 inches, more like a full window size. I am starting a long vacation at the end of next week, so hopefully I will get buckled down and start doing some designs too. I'll probably need pointers from ||S|| on how to get high-res super-saturated images. I don't think I can do PDF either. Why are people using that for high-res instead of something like tiff or bmp?
And I take it that any of the banners will need that as well to blow up to a 3 foot width?
guyricardo
12-13-2002, 05:36 AM
OK. So I did a quick search. 'Sci-Fi' is trademarked, but not by the 'Sci-Fi Channel' which is trademarked. Go figure. There is a disclaimer about not claiming exclusive right to the term 'Sci-Fi', but i'm not sure what the frell that means legally.
As for the dren with the font: The original font is called Pritchard, and it is copyrighted. But, it can be purchased for as little as $20.
Here's a link about the font, the guy that wrote it, and links to several online font stores that you can buy & download from. http://www.identifont.com/show?34P
There are clones of the font available on Chorn and Scorpwanna's Far§cape Website (http://farscape.chorn.com/)
||S||'s ads were designed with a 2:1 ratio. They were designed with high enough resoltion to look good blown up, but they can be scaled down just as easily.

I just caught the end of this thread...
you all don't go using my art for any pay ads now!
:)
not that you would, but be reminded again: we can't use them for things that involve public entities and money.
I'm starting on two image panels to go on either side of the windscreen crew posters.
This way windshields with 3:1 ratio will have a way to make the images fit.

After much interference by real life, here finally is the promised test pic of updated static cling ad. The quality isn't very good, because I used the same static cling which had been tossed around my desk for the past month. It had gotten very curly on the edges (hence the tape). I also didn't do a very good job getting the air bubbles out, but It should give you a very good idea of the improvement over the original.

edited to change picture
The first picture of one ||Scorpius||'s crew collages on a car. I just finished installing this on my car and had to post for you guys.
I'm really stoked at how good this looks. ((((||Scorpius||))))
The top image is obviously my car from the outside, the middle image is the view from inside. Due to the severe slope of my hatch, the visiblility isn't as good as normal. The bottom is a more normal view looking straight through the hatch at my house. The visiblilty is even better than the pictures show.
This is an example using a heavy all weather laminate. For you lucky warm weather residents, the spray laminate increases the visiblity even more.

VERY NICE ||S||!!! I can't help but wonder how it would look if Grayza (spelled wrong, I know) were put where Braca is. Or maybe (oh frell, go on hiatus this long and I forget the new character's names!!!! the one who replaced Jool! probably still no good picture of her though, huh?). I find both of them intriguingly beautiful in much the same way Zha'an is and as much as I love Braca, I adore the beauty and color of the women.
Anyway, so you're saying this one will be 36" x 12" rather than by 18" as the others are?? That would bring the price down, right?? Maybe, just maybe, I can FINALLY afford to do this!! (I'm not poor, just debt-ridden beyond my means :(

"I can't help but wonder how it would look if Grayza (spelled wrong, I know) were put where Braca is."
Dear LadyCrais,
I'm afraid you will have to continue to wonder. I do not have access to high enough quality images of either Grayza or Sikozu to make a portrait of them.
I regret that about Sikozu, and I will make a collage of her as soon as possible (which I will send to Raelee as a professional print, if I can find a way to do so). That probably cannot happen until after season four DVDs come out.
As for Grayza (you spelled it correctly):
No.
That simply is too much to ask of me. I will never, not in a trillion cycles, not even if tortured by being made to watch Full House and Facts of Life reruns (*shudder*), ever make artwork of her. My hand would fall off it I did. I'd lose my charter membership in the Scorpius Fan Club and SuperGenius Goodguy Society. I'd be drummed out of the Astrophysicists For the Survival of the Sebacean Race Chess Club.
I've made Ten collages so far. It is a matter of time as well as available images. I don't have the time or energy to make custom ones, so I hope you can be satisfied with one of the existing ones. Keep in mind that the portrait and Save Farscape Ad images I've made are also available as CarScape ads. There are ones of Zhaan, Jool, Chiana, Stark and....even Crais. <eg>
Unfortunately, the area of the wide collage is greater than that of the others. It nearly broke my 'puter to work on it, the file size was so enormous as a psd (in 27 layers, mind you!) You should ask Guyricardo to be sure, but I think it probably is more expensive.

||Scorpius|| Sorry for the delay in response. This got put in background through the hoopla of all the media coverage and FINALLY getting to see Kansas. :) I had forgotten questions about Grayza would be offensive to you, and do hereby apologize for having suggested such blasphemy! In many ways I'm thinking more along the lines of who the most important characters are, not just balance with the women, and for the moment it looks like you pegged it dead on for the remainder of the season by using Braca! I'm going to go to your site now and make my final decision. Thanks much for all of your hard work!

I plan on ordering as soon as I hear back from a police officer about the legality of covering my back window in KS. -- Cool! I just heard back! ;) I guess in KS, the advertisement can't be any more than 35% opaque. Any rough idea how opaque your window decorations are?
Also, I was wondering: once I order, about how long would it take to get a full-size back window print on plastic cling-wrap? (I haven't measured yet, but say approx. 3' x 4'?)
Thanks for the info!

It's been a while since I've posted anything on this. So here is a quick, hopefully, update.
I'm sure most people have considered this project dated by now, what with all the original artwork having 'Starting January 10' all over them.
For whatever reason, three collages have been the most popular, accounting for all the orders to date. Crew 2, crew 7, and the wide collage.
||Scorpius|| has made it possible for me to produce these three without the January 10th, and with the addition of a starting time for your area, whether it be 7, 8 or 9 (if it starts at 9 anywhere). You can also use the 'Watch and discover the wonders I've seen'' slogan or 'Use your mind...Lose you heart'. Also the watchfarscape.com url has just been added to our repertior.
The images from the ||Scorpius|| art gallery http://scorpius-farscape.tv/master/gallery.html are avaialable for use and work quite well on side windows.
The CarScape art is now here http://scorpius-farscape.tv/master/carscape_ads.html
We need to keep spreading the word, and these really do look great on your ride. Window tint just makes your windows darker. This makes your windows darker, and looks awesome in the process. I now I'll be keeping my rear window wrapped instead of using tint well after the season ends.
So anyway, if you've thought you missed the boat, think again and jump on board. Email me for the very reasonable cost info.
I'm working on putting all the ordering and cost info on a website so you can just browse on over. I'll post the link as soon as it's done.
Also, the original CarScape car has been updated. I'll be taking new pictures and posting later this week. It looks in more stunning than before.
And I said this would be quick. HA!

I really want to get one of these, but I'm in Central Illinois and it's been no warmer than 20 here for the past week and a half and knowing our winters, this will continue until the middle of March. Is there any way these things can work in my wretched climate??

If you can find somewhere warm to do the actual installation, then yes they'll work in your wretched climate. :)
Email me at carwraps@optonline.net if you have any questions about them.

hey cheeks! thanks.
I was about to send a pm, but since others have trouble with this, I post as a PSA. Forgive the obviousness of some of these steps.
The critical issue with attaching pictures is the file size.
Click on the Post Reply button at the bottom right of the thread page.
Underneath the Options section is another section entitled 'Attach File'. Note that file size is limited to 102400 bytes. That's 100k. I try to stay under 95K for safety. Also note the acceptable file types. Most common formats are there. I use low quality jpg because fo the smaller file size.
Click on the browse button (or type in the exact file path)
Select your file. Make sure the file path shows up in the text box.
If you've finished composing your message, click Submit Reply
That should do it.
Linking to a picture on a website (even this one) is way easier, and as far as I know, isn't limited by the file size. You simple need to post the URL of the picture in question. You can actually put several pictures in the same post that way. Make sure you have permission to link to the picture if it's nbot your site. It's bad etiquette to chew up bandwidth without permission.
Good luck :)

edit - Haahahaahahh! I just displayed my ineptitude! Wow isn't that a neat car warp. It's practically invisible!
Alright what did I do wrong? I followed the directions...at least I think I did. I hit the browse button for attaching the file, found the file I needed and that should be it.

Ah bless you! I just sent an e-mail your way.
I have to share this little story:
To start, it's FREAKIN' FREEZING here in Illinois and the stupid weather attacked my rear window picture. We're talking STRONG winds! In fact we just had a local phenomenon called "Rollers". It's when the snow, temperature and wind are perfect enough that a snowflake will hit the ground, bounce, pick up some sort of object (like a piece of grass) and start rolling. Springfield looked like the invisible snowman makers had hit it. Hundreds of balls of snow everywhere - some two feet across. But I'm rambling here.
So, when I got off work yesterday I noticed that the back of car looked funny. Once I got close enough I realized that the picture was gone- no pieces, nothing hanging on by a thread, just gone. For a split second I freaked because I thought someone had stole it but then that turned to "well that's pretty cool!" I figured it must have sparked someone's interest for him or her to run off with this huge collage of Farscape characters. :P So I get in the car, ready to pull out when I realize that my passenger window has more snow then I thought so I had to get out to clean it. And, there's my picture - propped up on a snowdrift. After a huge sigh of relief and many thanks to the carwrap angels, and a flaming curse sent to the North wind, I head home. Now the Scapermobile will have to be a moving advert from the inside. A glorious thing is packing tape. It's holding the gang up in my rear window quite nicely!! :D

So we're quickly approaching the airing of the last of the curently filmed eps on 3/21. I say again, 'currently filmed eps':D
Anyway, we need to keep spreading the word for as long as necessary, so I've come up with some changes to this project to reflect the shift in the campaign.
Since the dates on the current artwork won't be relevant after 3/21, I’m offering the choice of having a removable strip with the date, time & channel information on it. After 422 airs, that strip can be removed, leaving the artwork in place for as long as you’d like. It probably makes more sense at this point to do a strip with the times for the reruns which start 3/31. I can do either or both. Due to the fact that there is almost always enough waste material on each job, there should be no additional cost for doing this.
(||S||, I hope you don't mind that I posted this)
Throwing this out to see what you guys think. IMHO, the perforated filmmakes a great alternative to standard window tint. It can even be put on tinted windows in most states.
I've been discussing with ||Scorpius|| various way of making a profit doing these. For obvious reasons we can't make any money using Farscape images. The window wraps look so cool, and I've seen a few pickups around with different images on them. So I thought, why not come up with some copyright free images of our own and offer them for sale?
BTW, the reason you'll see mostly pickups and a SUV's with these things, is that a) the glass is nice and flat (easy install), and b) pickup and suv owners tend to decorated thier vehicles more than car owners.
Some of the obvious things that come to mind, 9/11 tribute (flag, WTC, etc), Columbia/Challenger tribute, landscapes(mountains, waterfalls, sunsets, etc). Just so you know, I will donate a percentage of anything tribute based to a fund associated with that tribute. I'm not so insensitive as to profit from others misfortune.
If you have any other ideas of things that might be appropriate for something like this, we'd love to get your feedback. They can be straight photographic images, illustrations, or any images can have ||Scorpius||'s unique 'painted' look done to them.
I'm starting to get a bit wordy here, so that all for now. (never been good at figuring out when to stop)

Sounds like all good ideas Guy. I especially like the removable date to leave it as artwork idea. I think that's been one of my own hesitation factors. I also agree it'd be great to now point people towards the reruns. I was thinking before I read your post that we need to get the word out of
Farscape from the beginning....
And that we should probably start that now to get the heads-up before it is upon them and they swiftly miss the first 5 episodes or something. I'm thinking those words should be changeable too since things will constantly be evolving. Am I making any sense yet? :)

03-14-2003, 07:45 AM
Snow and Ice didn't really have any effect on the wrap (I live in Minnesota), but the glue *really* didn't like sub-zero weather.
That was the main problem I had, it would get really cold, the edges would peal up (in spite of the sealer) and road grit would get on the glue.
Hopefully we are all collectively past the really cold weather, but I'd take extra care in tacking down the edges.
guyricardo
03-14-2003, 09:03 AM
No the perf won't damage easily, it has a protective laminate over it. As Mickie says, it's the extreme cold that get's to it. The glue gets stronger over time, and the cold interferes with the curing process. If you seal the edges properly, and keep an eye on it to make sure it doesn't start to lift, you should be ok.
AS far as covering the rear window, if your concern is visibility, check out this link. http://scorpius-farscape.tv/master/carscape.html. It includes a shout looking out of atlanatagirl's minivan. You'll see that visibility is very good. She sais the visibility is even better at night!
The full window wrap also looks better that an partial wrap.
You can get just the side windows if you wish, or like an order I just took, it cost the same to include the side windows using the left over material.
Just send me an email at carwraps@optonline.net if you have any other questions and for pricing.

So, went to the web site above thinking I could order that way. No such luck. The info page I went to said I needed to download Microsoft Office Components in order to view it. Tried to download that and was told the page couldn't be displayed. Any suggestions as to how I can get the info from that web site?

guyricardo
03-24-2003, 10:21 PM
FarCat, thanks for the headsup. That's the first i heard that people might not be able to view the pricing info. I't basically a web enable Excel spreadsheet, so if you don't have a fairly recent version of Excel, I'm guessing it might not work. This is my first stab at an active spreadsheet on a webpage, so please bear with me. It's active because it has section for you to input your own dimensions and play around with the costs for yourselves.
If anyone else has a problem viewing the pricing page, please email me at carwraps@optonline.net for the information. In the meanwhile, I'll try to do a static version of the page, without the calculator.
guyricardo
03-26-2003, 01:02 AM
Ok, I've updated the webpage. I now have two versions of the cost page, one active and one static. I also have a link to download the Excel file.
The active version requires Microsoft Web Components be installed (an 8.5MB file). It allows you to input the size the wrap, and have your cost automatically calculated right in the webpage.
For those without the Web Components or Excel, you can print out the static version and calculate the costs manually.
I know I've got much more to do to get the site up to speed, but I'm doing what I can in between all my other tasks.
Please let me know if there's anything else I need to fix.
Thanks,

Bamphalas (http://groups.yahoo.com/groups/OrlandoFSrally)for making the vinyl letters. He put them on my car October 5, and they still look as good as new.
FreePilot (http://www.freepilot.org)from whom I snurched this pic. But, hey, its my car.
Barb(http://www.savefarscapecentral.com), for letting me put her website on the back of my car.
What's cool? Paul, Gigi, and Lani got to see my car in person!
BUT...unfortuneately, I feel that advertising this particular website may not be getting the most information to the most people. So.... maybe this could be an idea for our wonderful graphics designers? A cheaper alternative. (LOL, unless it costs more than the color graphics!) I would like to re-do my car, soon. I havent decided which, but I like the white graphics. Maybe a combination or both (I'm just thinking to myself here.)

That's exactly what I suggested to Esk too. I haven't had a chance to email to get the graphics yet, but s/he said I could have use of them for that purpose. What I personally want to do is match the MoyaFish to the color of my car and cover a good bit of my rear windshield with it. Then I was thinking separate lettering to alternate for air times etc.
But yeah, I'm very into that MoyaFish becoming our official logo and it sounds like Esk would be cooperative with that.

guyricardo
05-01-2003, 09:04 PM
Not true B Sharp. I do my printing at one of those small digital printing shops. Being able to print on about a 2'x6' piece of cardboard requires not only a printer/plotter wide enough, but it also has to be able to accept rigid media at least 1/8" thick with a straight media path. Trust me, most poster printers can't do that.
A sign printer on the other hand, might have the right type of printer/plotter.

I'd really like a bumper sticker. I don't know if you are doing any of those. I bought a vinlyl wrap from you awhile back. 05-01-2003, 09:54 PM
hi guyricardo- my local print shop has an offset press and a digital press (not printed on a plotter or printer); it can handle rigid stock as wide as an engineering 'e' size drawing, which I think is something like forty something inches wide. The big charge is for set-ups (at least $500), but if you run off a lot of copies of something, it's not that bad. I only know because of my RL job, and other printing shops may of course not have the gear... (this printer makes things like 4 color cardboard boxes for putting your product in).

05-01-2003, 11:40 PM
Sunderflame, glad you found a use for that wrap. It would have been a shame to let it go to waste. I remember it was pretty large with multiple images.
I haven't had much time to devote to this lately, but I could use the vinyl material for the car body wraps, and cut them to bumper sticker size. They would definately weather the weather, and be easier to remove (not that you'd want to :)) I'd have to do several at a time for it to be worth my while though.
B Sharp. a shop that runs 4 color cardboard boxes isn't a typical small printer. and yep, those setup charges will get ya every time if you're not doing large enough quantities.

Also, still waiting to see if you come up with anything to cover the "Fridays at 8 on SciFi" tag on my wrap. Just the art that's underneath would be enough. I just want to get rid of skiffy's name without putting an ugly white bumper sticker of my own over it.

Just checking that you got my email- I am sure you are swamped but I have been having some problems with my mail server- so I wanted to check!
I have not wanted something this bad for a long long time- I long to put this on my car more than anything! At almost any cost-
Hope to hear from you soon- this was about one for my Pontiac Montana-
Cheers!!

Hi Nephy. Got you email and responded, but if your email server's frelled, then maybe that's why you haven't gotten it.
Email or PM me the dimensions of the window and we'll get it going.

If enough people wanted sun shields for their cars, and we could all agree on one design, we might be able to split the $500 cost enough to make the price not oo unreasonable. But, we'd have to have at least 50 people to bring it to $10 for setup, and that doesn't include the actual cost of the item and shipping.
What might be neat, is if someone could make a stencil that could be printed out (yeah, I know it'd have to be like 20 pages long). You could buy one of those cheap $4 window shades, or just use a box, and paint over it with your stencil. It wouldn't be as graphics intensive and beautiful as ||Scorpius||'s designs, but it could be something simple and elegant like ratscape's wanted posters.

I'd be up for a sunshade! :) They also have the like, clothy/foam kind that rolls up (does that make sense?) Maybe that'd be easier to print on?

Anything happening with the sunshields? I'll approve of any design as long as my picture isn't in it.

Sorry, sunshields are out of my arena. I just don't have any way of printing on them.

WooHoo!!!!
My car just passed inspection. I was afraid I'd have to peel my carwrap off, due to tinting laws. But I was told it was ok and I passed!

OK, since Cygnus092299 went and dug up the original CarScape thread, I figure it might be a good time to post a quick update.
First off, Cygnus had a great idea of using Farscape artwork to decorate his pc case. So, once we work out the details, maybe we'll have ComputerScape! :D
Also, I think I've previously mentioned that I had much problems working with the static cling material, and wasn't taking orders for them. We'll, problems solved, so anyone that was only interested in a static cling wrap, now's your chance. (I'll try and post pictures of the new clings soon).
I still have to make some changes to my CarScape site to make it easier for y'all to order. I'm going to standardize on a couple of sizes of each design that should work for most people. I'll always be able to do custom sizes like I've been doing if necessary.
I plan to include the graphics right on my site so everything will be in one place. I mentioned this a while back, but I also have ideas for some non-Farscape wraps that I'd like to do. I have the layouts in my head (not the safest place :D), I just need to find the time to search for copyright free images and or make my own in order to pull it all together.
Ok, I guess that's it for now.

Long overdue pic of the static clings. Sorry that it's a little out of focus. Tha actual cling is very sharp and clear. When I get pictures of the installation I'll post those too.
I haven't overhauled the CarScape site yet. RL keeps getting in the way. ;) After more interviews and meeting than I've ever had for one job, I'm back in the corporate rat race (i.e. employed). I'm still getting used to how draining the commute to NYC is. Once I get used to the routine, I should be able to get to those updates. ...Really, I will.
In the meanwhile, I'm still more than happy to entertain any orders.

Yes, I will continue to make promotional wraps available so long as there's a campaign to promote.
I've been on again/off again with the clings. They're a pain in the eema to make, and aren't all that suitable for the relatively large car images. (They're fine for storefronts or other type of windows however.) I have been doing some of mycattoldme's bumper stickers on the wrap material, and they turned out pretty nice. Also, in trying to resolve another scapers need to have a removable and reusable wrap, I've been looking into making magnetic signs, and it seems I will be able to do those as well.
There really is any new artwork right now, but I can change the text on a couple of the original images (2, 7 and wide specifically).
Sorry the website is still so out-of-date and plain. Priorities ;)
Email me at carwraps@optonline.net or PM me if you need more info.
