A lot of people really want to remain spoil free. That includes anything that might have been shown in the recent SciFi network promos. Please if you're going to reference anything at all spoilery, put spoiler space. It's not really a rule it's just nice.

buggs
who just stumbled on to a small possible spoiler that is going to completely frell up her spoiler free mind...oh well.

Might I ask too that the topic headers be kept spoiler free? Some of us are using the feature that shows us all the threads with new posts, regardless of what forum they are in. Thanks in advance for the consideration. :)

Ooh, I will second DoA's request. Please, please think about headers as well. Spares my poor computer from breaking down when I start crying all over it. Thank you!

I, for one, would be soooo appreciative of spoiler warnings. When my cable company put Sci Fi on the digital line up Sci Fi had a temper tantrum because they weren't controlling the "packaging" and instead of losing some possible analog viewers they said frell to all of you we're just not going to broadcast to anyone and now I can't their channel at all. My mom is going to tape the episodes for me but she lives almost an hour away so I'll only get to collect the recorded tapes about once a month so I'll be way way behind. Maybe yet another forum titled "All about new episodes" or something, that way a bonehead like me won't see a title of something and not realize it's the title of an ep (if I haven't seen the ep I'm not going to realize it's a title of one) and stumble into it. If it's too much hassle that's cool too, I'll just be really careful and be very happy if people do the spoiler space. Everyone here is really considerate so I guess I shouldn't stress. :D

How much space do you need? If people see the word spoilers, they could stop reading, or is it so that nothing could be on the screen. I don't know what amount of space is appropriate, but will follow any guidelines if I just know them.

Yes, please be careful.

:) I have much appreciated the spoiler-free discussions that allowed
me to thouroughly awash me eyes in the 'missing season' before
I finally replaced my frelled VCR.

All suprises to me for the most part, few things leaked out beforehand, only characters and images that made me puzzled.

(hopefully my avatar over there isn't a spoiler, if so please object.)

After all, the world sees these in a sequential disorder.

:aok:
I do thank everyone for their constraint and
I will try to do so as well.

Little stuff like the candy that we'll soon be driving the stock up on is no biggie, but please please please think carefully and when in doubt even an microt of spoiler space is so very very very appreciated!!!! And just to show that this post is in good nature :bounce: :bounce: Dang, those little guys are cute.

edited to add: and a BIG thank you to those that have remembered!!!!!! Big smoochies!!

if you guys put the word "Spoilers" in your thread title, then you can save yourself the hassle of all the spoiler space.

just a suggestion.

Hate to be the only dissenting voice here, but if people are so concerned about spoilers, then why come to a messageboard devoted to a cancelled show? That's like being allergic to bees but keeping beehives in your backyard. It is impossible to keep everyone's personal progression in mind when discussing farscape, and the fans shouldn't have to walk on eggshells to protect you from yourself.

My advice? Watch the episodes ASAP, or stick to the boards of the seasons you have already watched.

Gotta agree with the Ancient.

Yep, aside from Campaign Strategizing, you gotta realize that anything on the general Farscape Discussion Poll is probably off limits, and definitely anything in a specific season that you haven't seen in entirety, that you're likely to get spoiled.

Polls are pretty hard to keep spoiler free... how else you gonna justify your picks?

The onus IS on us to keep it spoiler free in the Campaign Strategizing though... especially there!

it's a policy that we chose out of respect for the different schedulings worldwide, and we have no intention of changing it. politeness never hurt anybody. Australia, for example, still hasn't seen the entire show in first run, and they come here to talk about the eps that they have seen. they shouldn't have to be spoiled for it.

keep in mind also, that we're getting plenty of new users that are coming to the site from the reruns and haven't seen the entire series. they should be allowed the same wonder and delight as those of us who watched new and unspoiled. the world doesn't revolve around the folks that have seen all the eps.

This may seem like a silly question...buuut, if there's alot of posters new to the show, then how far do we go with spoiler alerts?? Aren't *all* episode related topics spoilers for some... ?

waltersgirl

we started the separate season threads in the hopes that season-specific stuff would get discussed there. some does, some doesn't.

a simple rule of thumb is to put a spoiler warning in your thread title, and don't title your thread with a spoiler.

ex: "Scorpius question - 422 (spoilers)"

if you put a spoiler warning and an ep reference in the title and someone still goes into the thread, that's their problem, not yours.

if ya having trouble seeing all the episodes on TV and u don't mind if the visual quality is sometimes scetchy and you have a cable internet connection why not just download em? I found all 4 seasons on Kazza. It was the only way I could get to see all the seasons in one go and now since i have discovered a deep and abiding love of the show I am hunting up the DVD sets (not an easy thing) which is being completcated by the fact that Amazon.com dosen't ship DVDs outside the US/Canada area.

Delphi,

Try www.amazon.co.uk , they may ship it.
Another possibility is a sci-fi convention in your area. Hope this helps.

www.amazon.co.uk definitely ships to Australia, I know that Aussie Scapers (have you joined Farscape Australian Mafia Board yet - http://fam.gumnut.net/phpBB2/ ?) ordered theirs DVD from there or Bensonsworld. Season 2 Boxset is very interesting, 'cause it contains FIVE episode commentaries, 2 from American release and 3 from Australian release.

hhmm - I've had videos shiped ffom the us Amazon site - or you could try ebay, or this site: http://r1.au.rmi.yahoo.com/rmi/http://dstore.com.au//rmivars%3ftarget=_top%26sl=y?action=view&id=641763&ref=yahooshop

Actually, our local bigW has season 3 in stock right now, and I'm in nsw regional. I've never had much trouble getting hold of the box sets, just affording them ;)
