Yes! Please do!!!!! I wouldn't mind scouting out some decent and affordable hotels for you, if that's even a concern. I can even inform you about some really cool places if you like. Just let me know. I can't make it to the Seattle con, but I will be at the PDX con no matter what!!! I am so excited about it. I've never been to a con though, so I have no idea what to expect.:)

WE GOT IT WE GOT IT
We got the traveling convention display.
Also have a clever plan to lure people to the table.
Also have lots of ideas for giveaways. Did you know you
could buy whole bags of DRD's and Draks?
Come on down, everyone in Seattle or N. Calif.

This will be my first convention also and I'm helping run a table there! I don't even know what tickets to buy yet! It'll have to be soon. I am so glad you're coming!
I do know that the day before the convention creation will post a convention schedule describing the weekend activities. I have a PNFF pal who has gone to some cons. I will try to find out some stuff for you.

I believe the Seattle con was a buffy/sci-fi one and it was the weekend of Feb 28th.

So glad to hear you guys got the table for this one. Might be small, but hey!
And, I am stoked to report that my husband and I have decided now would be a fabulous time to foray to our first sci fi convention, so we're driving down from Seattle and bringing our 2.5 year old Scorpius fan with us. Can't wait to meet some of you Scapers. :)

:bounce: More people! More people! I am so excited!!!!! The preferred tickets are $50 each, general admission is $20. There are also gold weekend passes which are $130 each. I would've got those but on Sunday there isn't anyone from Farscape so I'm just doing general admission on that day. There's more info here... http://www.creationent.com/farscape/farscape.html Can't wait to meet you all!

Rhonda-you do not need to purchase gold tickets for each day. For some reason I keep thinking you are buying gold tickets for both days! You do not need to do that. Please tell me you didn't buy gold tickets for both days. I believe they are good for the whole weekend-at least that is how I am reading the info at creation's site.
The preferred ticket is $50 per day. On Saturday Virginia Hey and Wayne Pygram will be signing autographs. With a preferred ticket you are guaranteed a reserved seat and autographs from everyone that day. You get to stand in the autograph line after the gold ticket people.
The gold tickets are for the entire weekend guaranteeing you autographs from everyone at the con. You get to go first and have better reserved seating (front row) in the auditorium when the stars are up on stage.
General admission paid $20 each day does not give you an autograph or reserved seating all day. You will have to find a new seat everytime you go to sit down. You do have access to everything at the con and can purchase autograph tickets. See www.creationent.com for autograph ticket prices. Virginia Hey/Wayne Pygram are $15 each per autograph ticket. You will be last in the autograph line behind gold and preferred ticket holders.
I am buying preferred seating for Saturday to run the table and since that is when Farscape cast will be there. Then general admisson for Sunday to run the table.
Hope that helps!:aok:

The preferred ticket is the better deal because:
It is the cost of general admisson ($20) plus both autograph tickets ($15each) but also get reserved seating and a better place in autograph line (so you don't have to wait as long).
Also, if you love Michael Dorn (Worf from Star Trek:TNG) you will get his autograph too with preferred ticket on Saturday!
Sunday is Alexander Siddig (Star Trek:DS9 Dr. Bashir). I like both of them (love Star Trek) but I am mainly thinking of Farscape, supporting Virginia and Wayne, and running the table.
Or go with the Gold Ticket. But I am saving the big bucks for the Official Farscape Convention in November.
Sorry Rhonda-- I reread your post, you are not buying the gold tickets after all! Whew, had me worried for a while!

I am hoping someone here *has* been to a Creation con before. This one sounds like it might be relatively small, but it's big enough for me if Pygram and Hey are there. :)
So here's the thing. We think we'll get preferred tickets for Saturday (my husband and I, so there's a hundred bucks plus hotel). We may or may not go on Sunday. We're going to have our 2.5 year old with us, and he's a sociable little guy, but not the most patient person on earth. Given we're not going to be in the "gold" group, is there really a huge difference in when you'd get an autograph between preferred and GA?
I guess what I'm really asking is if the preferred tickets will save us significant time, because the price of the tickets is double what we'd pay to get autographs.

Don't worry!!!!! I bought preferred tickets for Sat only and I'm going to do general admission on Sunday. In fact our seats are N15 and N16 so I think I'll be sitting right behind you and rorykern. I only would have bought the gold weekend pass if there were Farscape actors on both days. So just to clarify... I. Did. Not. Buy. The. Gold. Tickets. :D

Okay, we're getting ready for our trip.. my husband is bowing out because he has a convention ('puter-related) to help run next weekend in Atlanta and must prepare. I decided I'm going to brave it anyway, just me and my 2.5-year-old Farscape fan. So I'm going to be looking for you SaveFarscapers.. at the table, I presume. I probably won't be able to be much help (wrangling the toddler is a full-time occupation) but I am looking forward to it anyway! He also knows who Worf is and I have no doubt he will be in awe to meet these people. He's awfully sharp at recognizing people out of costume.
I ended up not buying tickets in advance, since we were waiting to see if hubby could go, but ah well.
See you there!

I hope your still sane after the con. ;)
Mine is staying home with the hubby. There would be no way I could run the table with the little tyke!
