Let me take a moment to introduce you to some of the people currently active behind the scenes at savefarscape.com.

Well because I'm starting this thread I may as well start with myself.

Red - What started out as my tiny genre website grew into this huge fan effort to save our favorite show with the help of all the fabulous people on our staff here and all the creative, determined fans who frequent the site. It's been an amazing thing to watch and an even more amazing thing to be a part of. I can't wait to see where we end up next.

I'll post the usernames of the others here, and I'll let them say more about themselves. I fear I wouldn't do them justice. Some of these staffers have been eaten alive by real life and they're not able to participate as frequently anymore and in some cases they've had to withdraw. But if you have questions, you'll see some of us around and about on the board here and you can PM us or drop us a line.

Please, I would love to hear more about the people who started this campaign and are leading this group or lost Scaper souls to a victory. I keep checking back here, but to no avail. Looking forward to hearing more.

this is my first post and I truly love Farscape (just like everybody else). Great site, guys. One question, how do you insert a picture under your username? I did not see a place to do it when editing my profile.

Oooops! Totally missed the existance of this threat! embarrassed grin

Hmmm, looks like we're going in reverse order of joining the team :D So here I go:

I'm actually a fairly recent addition to the team, so I can gleefully and truthfully claim "It wasn't my fault! I didn't do it!" I just watched in awe as it happened :D I hope sooner or later there'll be a page up somewhere telling how it all began, but what impressed me most was how quickly everything came together and how organized it ended up being :) Correct me if I'm wrong, but I seem to remember that the first version of the site was up at 4am PDT Saturday morning after Black Friday...
Heh, and things only got better from there. So, that's how I got involved. I watched all these people do such a fantastic job and felt the desperate need to do something meself... so I did... my main function here is doing this:
:bounce: and this :bounce::bounce: and sometimes this :joy:

:D That's right, I post bouncies :D Hell! Somebody's gotta do it :D Well, occasionally they come with cool ideas :) But mostly they come with totally insane ideas. And sometimes it's hard to tell which is which :D Anyways, if there is one thing I have to spare in bouts, it's enthusiasm :D

Now for the reason the others keep me around: Sheer Luck, methinks. Like in weird things happening (as in accidentially running into Ben Browder while swimming in a crowd of 200,000 people :bounce: ) Oh, and my utter lack of realism. I have been known to do impossible things because people failed to tell me I can't do them :D It can be a useful ability... but mostly it's annoying :D

Oooh, yah, there's also the camera thing. Not entirely sure how that all started but now I'm kinda surgically attached to my camcorder, working hard on trying to keep the documentary project going and getting new footage we can hand on to the media :) It's gotta be the air in LA... :D If you are interested in participating on any level watch my posts :bounce: We are still in the progress of getting organized with this :)

Anyway, if you ever feel down or are in any doubt whatsoever about the fact that our show WILL return, or if you are ever in need of a HELL YEAH!!!! I'll do what I can to cheer ya up :)
And I guess by sheer merit of having been around for a while I tend to know who's good at doing what, so I should usually be able to direct people to someone who can actually be helpful :)

OK, bored y'all enough :D Welcome to the board and the campaign!!! It's always great to see new people join in :joy:

Love and Peace and Honey-Roasted Almonds :)

I am Twich. I've been here pretty much since the day after the announcement..and I do a little bit of everything. My current handle of choice is Phone Goddess..cause if you have something you want answered, get me a phone number and I'll call. :) LOL

I think, like most of the staff, I do a little bit of everything though.

Very pleased to meet you all! :)

Eve11 here. I roam the boards quite a bit, do the occasional grunt work, and give advice on statistics and the academic viewpoint of Neilsen ratings. I am a grad student studying statistics so if you have a question about data, surveys, averages, etc, send it my way :)

I'm also regional co-ordinator for a Scaper group in the Pittsburgh area:

I'm kind of new to the sf.com staff and don't really have a fixed role, but I have been throwing my opinions around here (whether they were worth anything or not ;) ) since "Black Friday." I also lurk regularly at other great sites, such as Kansas and the Ultimate, and have even been known to post occasionally over at the Sci Fi BB.

I'm an attorney by trade, and so can play devil's advocate with the best of them. But that said, I can assure you that I wouldn't be here if I didn't continue to have hope for Farscape's future. :D

If any new board member has any questions, they should feel free to PM (private message) me!

I'm uisceboo. Here is my FAQ :lol

1) That's "hWISH-ka-boo." "Uisce" means water in Irish.
2) Where's the chocolate?

Seriously though...I am what you might call a verbal grunt. Which is to say, I help get the word out about stuff. I write news items for the front page, answer questions, scan the news, research and, when possible, work the Save Farscape campaign table at conventions (You may have seen me in Brooklyn in 2002 and at SC2K3 this summer). When I can, I help out in whatever way I can. Just like all of you do.

Very happy to meet you all! Meeting other fans is the very best part of this campaign!
