I am posting this poll, (my first!) to ask if we should send in: the reciepts for bras, postage, packing materials, and pictures of bras sent, to the other channels to demonstrate our willingness to spend money. Or not.
And if we do, how should we do it?
If we send them all together in one pak, I will include a tally sheet and one letter of explination. Or we could each do it indiviually and say what we wish along with our regular letters to them.
Or we could not do it all together.
So... discuss and I will abide by the wisdom of the masses! :D

I would say no, if simply because a lot of us don't have receipts and/or pictures. And while the networks may listen to us when we say we're willing to spend money, they'd much rather listen to the advertisers who say "Hey, those Scapers already are spending money on my products, and I like it!"

True. That raises a good point.
I was just wondering because my reciepts are riding around in my purse, (along with a lot of other JUNK!), and I thought to myself: Hey, these might be useful!
I was thinking along the lines of the KFC thing, but now that you mention it, I don't recall any ads for underwear... why is that do you think? Do they not think Sci Fi fans wear underwear? :rollin:
So, thats why I put this out there.
So, if everyone nixes this idea, my feelings won't be hurt! :D
But, if someone bought a digital camera just to take pictures of their bra, and that camera was made by someone who does advertise during Farscape, they may want to send a letter saying so... but thats option 2.

NYPinTA Honey, exactly how much coffee have you had in the last 24 hours? :rollin:

I think your mind's thinkin too much!

I wasn't involved in this one, although I thought the idea was hilarious and the pictures had me laughing out loud. I'll let the ones who actually contributed to this decide.

Should I be worried? :P

Only if you know all the words to

"The Knee Bone's Connected to the Thigh Bone......." and have to sing it exactly three times before washing your hands two times before you can go out of your house in the morning. :P

Hey, I still think it might be good to at least keep'em and ultimately collect them in one spot.
Chaym had a cute idea about a "commercial" we could film, sort of explaining the various reasons various age groups have to love Farscape.
We might do that as part of a larger package that documents the myriad of ways Scapers have worked to make a difference, including the Promo-Video that will go live for download tonight and just compiled demographics information, dry stats etc, etc.
None of this has been really planned out yet, but something tangible (and be it only a collage with all the receipts instead of a pile of receipts) might be helpful to get interest.
And in the very least it would be something we would want to include in a "Saving Farscape: The Movie" documentary (See the thread on this board :) I would imagine someonegoing through the pile and explaining the BRA:Scape project).
So, please, don't throw'em away :) To get any of this going will take time and organizing, so it might be a bit until we actually ask of rthem (Hell, we all *ARE* doing this in our (HA!) spare time :D)

And the same is true for other receipts or if you made your own flier or you organized a ralley, anything campaign-related really. Try to keep proof and try to write down some of the details or if something particularly funny happened, so it doesn't just go into oblivion :) I know I read so many great stories on this board we could make a dozen movies, but maybe we can start collecting them somewhere and use them :)

OK, my $0.02 :D Now I'm better back on working to get the vid live tonight!

NYPinTA: Guess, I'm screwed, too :D

Love and Peace and Joy :)

I don't have a receipt. I used BCA stamps out of the machine.

Maybe we could sent the reciepts to a site that supports breast cancer awareness; maybe they would post a little blurb how grass roots movements support each other or something like that .... Sorry I DO drink coffee LOTS of coffee

I love all your ideas. And Brascape was soooo inspired. Are people keeping receipts and keeping tallies of how much money everyone has spent on this campaign? I thought I read that somewhere <3am and really NEED coffee; only 2 hrs of work left>.
At any rate, keeping the Brascape thing going is cool, in any way that you can <and if various movements, like Breast Cancer Awareness get to know us as our own grassroot movement, so much the better>
Kudos to all ma ladies in the HOUSE!

OK, I guess the nays have it.
I really like the idea of writing to the people at the Breast Cancer Awarness and letting them know that we bought up a bunch of their stamps for this.
I think the idea to use those stamps came from Eve11, but I can't remember.... forgot to take my ginko biloba. ha!
Even if you didn't get a reciept you could still send a letter, if you hand isn't cramped up already- and send it with a Breast Cancer Awareness stamp! What a lovely circle! ;D
So, I guess we should hang on to our reciepts if we have them in case we come up with something good to do with them.
