tissues
projectiles
a vcr and many many tapes
a good trigger finger to stop the vcr when commercials roll on
a good supply of popcorn (preferably no butter, since butter makes the tv screen sticky)
good lung capacity, for those moments of screaming and yelling

things you will need to do:

unplug the telephone
turn off the cell phone
close the door
lock the door
install bolts at the door and utilize them whenever watching farscape
be prepared to take bathroom breaks during commercial breaks
take the batteries out of the remote so you don't accidentally change the channel

anyone to add?

A pillow to hide behind and to kick/punch when needed.

Also changing into your home made PK outfit is nice.

put a muzzle on the dog's mouth to stop it from interupting at those crucial moments!;)

while you're muzzling the dog go ahead and put a muzzle on ALL family members as well. they don't get dead that way.

vodka is a good, good thing.

also fellow scapers to discuss the episode with afterwards. alchol may help (esp if watching eps like prayor, bad timing dmd etc) tissues already been noted plasters for hand when your biting it in an attempt not to scream at tv or throat sweets if you go ahead.

If your on a budget, if not get TIVO or UltimateTV, you can stop on a dime. Then if need be, transfer to tape, or to VCD thru puter.

Yeah, need this, try to practice on other shows, like Scrubs. I use my thumb, I find it works well under all conditions, whether you are using VCR or DVR.

Butter is ok, CHEESE is better. Just keep a bowl of water and a towel nearby, on your lap, just in case you really feel the need to touch the screen. Again, you may want to practice this prior to watching actual Farscape episodes.

If you take time to practice, you won't need to remove the batteries. I've only caused a few mishaps by keeping them in, and they were retrievable.

If you choose to buy the DVDS, and I suggest you do, then most of this won't apply, cause you can rewind, fast foward, pause, skip and jump, frolic around, and eat sugar flavored popcorn if you desire.

One word of caution, never, under any circumstances, leave your porch light on while watching Farscape at night. I don't care how many dead bolts you have, they will still knock, and this can have devestating effects. Close those blinds, shut off lights, and watch in a windowless room if possible.

Good luck, I'm rooting for ya, we're all in this together (Red Green)

It also helps to keep a list of episode names handy for the Bulletin Boards as people tend to abbreviate the epi names.

Sure Trubador, but your on Mars. The abreviations are lighter there.

Everybody knows that.

a muzzle for YOURSELF, for those moments where you interupt one of those crucial moments (like aeryn's "nobody who doesn't know you wants to kill you, only the people who know you want to kill you" in thank god it's friday... again to rygel) with gales of laughter.

I could be killed for something like that, and if not I would probably kill myself... wait, that wouldn't work, I couldnt' watch any Farscape If i died.

I can never figure out exactly what Aeryn actually said, though...:( :headbang:

Turn the Closed Caption on your TV and read it. If you are in the US and your tv is less than 10 years old (I think it is about 10) it is required by law to have CC on it. :aok: Go for it and figure out what the frell she is saying.
