I'm just so sad. First Xfiles, roswell, Buffy, B5, and so on and on. Now Farscape. When are these TV ppl going to wake up and realize that they are destroying ppl hopes and dreams. My mom tells me I take it to seriously blah blah blah. She's probibly right, but wtf. I mean if Farscape was a crappy show like lexx (no offence this show was madd lame) I can sortof understand. However Farscape is just wickedly cool. It had proven itself totaly. LOTS of ppl watched it. The critics RAVED about it. So they cancel it? I mean wtf sense does this make?
I was there that fatefull day at Dragon Con in Atlanta. I worked staff there for 10 yrs. I'll never forget it. I was working Registartion staff and the little girl from TNT needed help loading some sutff in and I and another person helped. While we were talking she spilled the beens about them picking up B5 for the 5th season. 24 hours later they had there little show'n'tell in one of the video rooms and anounced it to the world. 20 ppl ran out of the room with there cell phones and started calling ppl ranting to put it on the web yada yada. It was a good day. The best part was I knew before anyone else...:) Sortof hard for her to hide it when there was B5 stuff all over the cart I was pushing...
Of all the shows I can think off in the past 10 yrs that have been canceld that was the only one that turned out well. Can anyone think of another? I personaly would like to punch out David Dacuvny. Sigh... I take that back. They did fix Buffy and I'm more of a fan than ever. If they would just get Angel back on the same station and do more crossover EP's.
I thought Sci-fi channel was about saveing cool Sci-Fi shows not destroying them. Were did this all go so very wrong?
The way I see this there are two distinked problems here that needs to be fixed.
1. Somewere somehow Farscape has to continue. I agree with the site 100% on that, and want to help anyway I can.
2. Sci-Fi channel needs to be fixed. The fans need to take the exec's by the balls and make them understand that there channel exsists for the fans and the shows not for them to advertise. The advertiseing is just a way to pay for it all.
I know I sound like a retard saying #2 but lets face it if they want to make game shows then they need to go work for the frelling game show channel. This channels is suposed to be about Sci-Fi not all this crazy stupid crap tehre doing. Battle Star Galactica is a step in the right direction but its one show. Look at all the ones they seem to be destroying.
You know what I don't get. All this money everyone is spending to run adds etc etc. Why don't we just pool all the money and make the damm show ourselves. I mean damm if 200,000 ppl all give say $20 that is freaking 4 million dollars. How much does it realy cost to make a season? 30 mil? 40 mil? If every fan gave $50 we could just have on the spot were is says Executive Producer says "The Fans".
I'm going to go be depressed.
